Young Master Xi Wugui

The celestial congregation of the 14 celestial sects were almost over now. Or rather, it was near the end of the banquet. 

This was the very first time that Ye Fan had been to such a large celestial congregation and the likes of Young Master Zheng Tianwu from the Morjinn Martial Sect disgusted him.

It was not just the Morjinn Martial Sect that was haughty in their disregard for the other celestial sects but the other two top celestial sects the Lineart Sword Sect and the Divine Mist Peak as well.

Shortly after Young Master Zheng Tianwu had left, Elder Yan Daxia from the Linear Sword Sect had approached them and he had even openly suggested to Fairy Xuan Xueqi that she ought to look for a better promise future by joining the Lineart Sword Sect instead! 

This of course did not go too well with Elder Huo Fei as he lost his cool by angrily saying, "Elder Yan Daxia! Fairy Xuan Xueqi is from the Profound Cloud Sect and you should know that we don't poach cultivators from our own alliance."

But Elder Yan Daxia simply laughed coldly, "What a waste. What a waste! I am simply trying to guide Fairy Xuan Xueqi to a better future!"

Elder Huo Fei growled, "You already have 3 consorts to dual cultivate with. You don't need Fairy Xuan Xueqi to be your consort!" 

When Ye Fan had heard Huo Fei, he was startled that this was actually Elder Yan Daxia's intention and he was upset too even though it did not show in his countenance. 

He did not notice that Fairy Xuan Xueqi was secretly looking at him to check for his subtle expressions and she was secretly disappointed.

Fairy Xuan Xueqi was thinking to herself: He did not care…

After Elder Yan Daxia was gone, Young Master Xi Wugui from the Divine Mist Peak had also come to greet Elder Huo Fei and Fairy Xuan Xueqi.

Even though this Young Master Xi Wugui looked like a gentleman and his mannerism was also refined but he was extremely haughty, "I see from the trial celestial records that Fairy Xuan Xueqi is joining in the trial as well. What a coincidence! I'm joining in the trial as well. If Fairy Xuan Xueqi does not mind, you can come find me inside the trial and I shall offer my protection to you."

This Young Master Xi Wugui had golden eyes and he was also a fifth realm True Origin cultivator, the same cultivation realm as Fairy Xuan Xueqi.

It was obvious that he would represent the Divine Mist Peak as the highest level cultivator and elder in this trial.

Fairy Xuan Xueqi politely declined him, "We can cope on our own."

Young Master Xi Wugui smirked coldly, "I didn't say anything about your group but only to you. My protection only extends to you."

His comments startled Elder Huo Fei, Ye Fan and all the listeners from the Profound Cloud Sect. 

Elder Huo Fei had a look that wanted to bash up this arrogant Young Mater Xi Wugui but he had to restraint himself because he was being accompanied by Saint Yan Qishan, a powerful seventh realm cultivator! 

Fairy Xuan Xueqi hotly said, "Please leave! We don't need any alms from any of the celestial sects. This is a trial after all. If misfortunes come then it is just our bad luck."

Young Master Xi Wugui laughed coldly as he walked away with his small group of retinues who all had a mocking look at the protégés of the Profound Cloud Sect.

Ye Fan could even hear a youth cultivator with a green cloak saying quite loudly to the rest, "The protégés of the Profound Cloud Sect do not look strong at all. I was expecting a much stronger group. Hahaha…"

Later Ye Fan saw that Young Master Xi Wugui, Elder Yan Daxia and Young Master Zheng Tianwu had come together as they laughed together. Occasionally they would point in the direction where Fairy Xuan Xueqi was seating with a mocking look.

He realized that they were actually all in cahoots together. 

The top 3 celestial sects in this celestial congregation seemed to have formed a powerful alliance together on their own and Ye Fan noticed that many of the other celestial sects did not like them particularly.

Ye Fan sighed heavily to himself as he thought: So, this is the politics behind the celestial sects. The strong preys upon the weak and the weak becomes feeder for the strong…

Fairy Xuan Xueqi had suddenly lowered her voice to say to Ye Fan, Chen Yuyan, Fan De, Mei Yinxuan, Ouyang Nana and Huangfu Ming. 

"If we got separated inside the trial, be wary of the top 3 celestial sects and try not to cross their path. They may have bad intentions."

Elder Huo Fei added with a weak smile, "Even though we are forbidden to attack each other inside but who knows for sure."

Although Elder Huo Fei did not say anything but he had already said everything! 

Ye Fan slowly nodded as he took the warning in his heart. 

The rest of the protégés nodded as well.

All of a sudden Saint Zheng Buren from the Morjinn Martial Sect was announcing to the hundreds of cultivators that were presented at the congregation, "The trial is going to start very soon…"

This Saint Zheng Buren was actually an uncle of Young Master Zheng Tianwu and also a seventh realm cultivator.

He announced, "May all the groups please step forth. To ensure fairness, there would be a 5 minute interval to enter the trial portal so that each group will not appear together. Even though you may be entering together as a group but there is no promise that you may end up together due to the unstable spatial space that is within the trial portal…"

Fairy Xuan Xueqi did not wait for him to finish as she turned to look at Ye Fan and the rest of the protégés, "Follow me! Try to stay as closely as possible to me. Also, try to enter at the same time as me too. This is to ensure that we may be able to find one another once we are inside…"
