Dangerous Encounter (3)

Elder Yan Daxia was still mocking Fairy Xuan Xueqi, "What is it? You still less optimized today. Did you happen to expend your profound strength before you fight me? If so, how brave you are in trying to challenge me…"

Fairy Xuan Xueqi hummed coldly as she displayed her Profound Burning Heavens Swords again as six blue swords appeared like a lotus again.

Elder Yan Daxia laughed coldly, "This is useless. The same technique cannot be used twice against me. I've fully gauged your strength. Don't you know that sometimes defense is the best offense? You need twice as much profound strength as me to maintain an attack. An elder of a small celestial sect is just too ignorant…"

Fairy Xuan Xueqi ignored him as she mustered the last remaining of her profound strength to display the 7th level of her Profound Burning Heavens. 

There was a subtle difference between her two profound techniques; earlier she had displayed the 6th level of the Profound Burning Heavens Swords and this 7th level was imbued with her true essence.

She was actually getting a little desperate now.

Her six blue swords had suddenly condensed together as it flew toward Elder Yan Daxia and once again, he had displayed the Iron Shroud of the Apostle's Wall.

But this time, he was startled when his profound walls began to melt under the oppressing might of Fairy Xuan Xueqi's renewed profound attack.

As he channeled more of his profound energies to meld his profound wall, Fairy Xuan Xueqi gasped softly. "If it is in the past, this saintess here would have ripped you apart instantly."

All of a sudden Elder Yan Daxia had remembered that Fairy Xuan Xueqi used to be a Saintess cultivator of the 7th realm cultivation. But for some unknown reasons, her cultivation realm seemed to have dropped.

There was a slight falter in his resolute and Fairy Xuan Xueqi immediately raised her left fingers to shoot a wisp of her sword spirit into the Iron Shroud of the Apostle's Wall.

This immediately caused the Iron Shroud of the Apostle's Wall to shatter in an instant and knocked back Elder Yan Daxia.

As Elder Yan Daxia had steadied his footing in the next instant, Fairy Xuan Xueqi had instantly beheaded him with her heaven-step divine sword! 

When he had died, he could not believe how swift and powerful her sword was!

Ye Fan in the meantime had killed the 3rd realm cultivator with his Six Aura Swords; he had taken the opponent by surprise and also because his opponent had underestimated him just because he was a lower realm cultivator. 

But for the 4th realm cultivator, Ye Fan was now completely on the defensive as he had expended all his profound strength. Just carrying the weighted divine sword in his hand was taxing to him and moreover he could only fight with one arm.

The 4th realm cultivator saw that Ye Fan was lame in his left arm and he had changed his sword strokes to attack Ye Fan to his left. 

But unfortunately for this 4th realm cultivator, by now Fairy Xuan Xueqi had already taken care of Elder Yan Daxia and with a flash of her quick sword, she had slashed this 4th realm cultivator on his back, instantly killing him.

Ye Fan began to pant heavily but he did not forget to say, "Thank you…"

Fairy Xuan Xueqi merely nodded coldly as she rebuked him softly, "Next time wait for my instructions to act. You are only putting yourself in danger."

He could not resist saying, "If I am not covering your back just now, do you think that you can focus on your fight against that Elder Yan Daxia?"

Ye Fan did not lie; this was the truth.

Fairy Xuan Xueqi pretended not to hear Ye Fan as she quickly walked to the two naked maidens, "You are safe now."

Fairy Xuan Xueqi turned to Ye Fan to say coldly, "Seek justice for them? Against the three most powerful celestial sects in the Aegean Alliance? Are you thinking of bringing destruction upon our Profound Cloud Sect?"

Ye Fan was perplexed by her words as he pointed at the dead cultivators that were around, "But didn't you just help them?"

The two maidens were also looking as perplexed as Fairy Xuan Xueqi; by helping them, Fairy Xuan Xueqi was actually making enemies out of the 3 top celestial sects in the Aegean Alliance already. 

Fairy Xuan Xueqi said coldly, "I did help them just now. It is because I think that I am able to silence all of them. But…"

She had turned to the 2 maidens with a gentle look, "But I hope that you do not tell your celestial sect what has happened today. Because your celestial sect can't afford to fight them or they may even turn a blind eye to it. Worse, you may be even be accused of lying by your own celestial sect in order to protect your celestial sect's reputation. It will be their words against your words."

The 2 maidens were startled by Fairy Xuan Xueqi's words.

Even Ye Fan was displaying a guilty look as he did not think as far as Fairy Xuan Xueqi; it was true that even if these 2 maidens would be able to escape from this place and to accuse Young Master Xi Wugui and Young Master Zheng Tianwu, no one would believe them. 

In fact, their own celestial sect may even accuse them of lying in order to protect their own reputation.

The younger maiden was also bowing with her head on the ground as she cried out, "Fairy Xuan is our great benefactor. We will never forget your kindness…"

Fairy Xuan Xueqi had not only saved them but she had also told them what to expect from their own cultivation sect. 

They had to decided for themselves if they wanted to tell their celestial sect about their ordeals and to risk a betrayal. 

As Ye Fan stood behind Fairy Xuan Xueqi, he had a complex look of confusion; it was because the Witch Xuan Xueqi was not what he had thought. 

He was already thinking that he may have been wrong about her all this while…

Fairy Xuan Xueqi said gently to the two maidens as she turned around to leave, "Now quickly leave... and be careful from now onward."
