How Shameless Of You

Lucia couldn't believe her ears. She looked away in disbelief, thinking, "I can't believe this. 'What has my life become? Do I look like a girl who follows men for their wallets to you?' She thought

Lucia let out a sigh as she looked at Callum and asked, "What about your friends?"

Callum simply shrugged and replied, "I came here alone."

Lucia squinted suspiciously at his response. His words seemed fishy. Seeing her doubtful expression, Callum said, "If you're not comfortable, why don't you tie me up?"

Lucia was utterly dumbfounded by his suggestion. It sounded completely crazy to her. Seeing her bewildered look, Callum glanced away, leaning back into his seat, and sighed, "I've done my best." He closed his eyes.

Lucia couldn't help but exclaim, "How shameless of you."

Callum didn't say anything but just smirked in response. Lucia, eyes were instantly drawn to his perfectly shaped lips, her mind was suddenly flooded with memory of their shared kiss. The sensation of his lips on hers devoured her thoughts.

Callum's clear voice suddenly interrupted her thought. "Shall we go now?"

Lucia snapped out of her thoughts, embarrassed by her own mind wandering. She gave him one last glance before looking away and moving to the driver's seat. Opening the door and taking her seat, she shut the door behind her. She wasn't scared that he would try anything; she was ready for anything.

Besides, she had a secret weapon. She was quite skilled in Taekwondo, boasting a 7th-degree black belt that she had earned.

Sitting in the driver's seat, Lucia couldn't help but feel nervous, but she refused to show any fear in front of Callum. She glanced over at him; he still had his eyes closed.

"Can you please shut the door?" Lucia asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Callum, hearing her request, opened his eyes without looking at her and obediently reached out to close the car door.

Lucia, her voice small, said, "Put on your seatbelt."

Callum glanced sideways at her and saw the seriousness in her face. He knew she wouldn't budge until he complied, so he smiled and clicked his own seatbelt into place.

"Anything else?" he asked.

Lucia shifted her gaze away from him and replied, "Just remain still and don't try anything funny."

As soon as she finished speaking, she started the engine, and the car began to move towards the exit. Lucia gripped the steering wheel tightly, her posture a bit stiff, her eyes focused on the road. Seeing her like this, Callum had to control his urge to burst into laughter. He understood she was nervous but couldn't resist saying, "Relax, no one's going to snatch the steering wheel away from you."

Lucia pursed her lips in annoyance and warned, "Didn't I just tell you to hush up? If you can't do that, I'd be more than happy to drop you off at the side of the road."

Callum sighed in surrender and remarked, "So harsh."

Callum tugged at his mask. "Can I at least take this off?" he asked, hoping to see Lucia's reaction.

"No," she snapped, without looking at him. The car fell into silence again, as they drove through the dark streets.

Callum's curiosity got the best of him. "May I ask why?" he inquired. He'd noticed Lucia's cautiousness with her mask, even back at the mansion. But he still catch a glimpse of her delicate features and sparkling eyes. Of course, he wasn't about to reveal that to her, knowing it might make her anxious.

Lucia felt his gaze on her and swallowed nervously. She hesitated, then decided to come up with an excuse. "This evening has been nothing but mysterious, and I'd like to keep it that way."

Callum burst into laughter. "You liar"

Lucia cleared her throat awkwardly, wondering what Callum was playing at. "What makes you think I'm lying?"

"That is the lamest excuse I've heard in a while," Callum teased. "It's okay to admit you're shy. I won't bite. Any woman would drool over my face when they see it. Are you sure you don't want even a little peek?"

Lucia's eye twitched in irritation. "How cocky," she thought. She then asked, "And what makes you think I want to see your face, and why are you so certain you'd be my type?"
