Lucia chuckled, "Hurry up and fill up your belly, hungry man. You don't want to starve on duty." She watched him as he took a bite of the croissant. She noticed how his lips curled around the pastry and how his jaw moved as he chewed. 'Looks like he wasn't lying about being hungry.' She thought

Bradley swallowed "What have you been up to? It's been a while since I've seen you." He looked at her with curiosity and interest. 

Lucia sighed, "Trying to get a job. I went for an interview today. Fingers crossed I pass the first round." She hoped for the best, but she knew the competition was tough. Lucia had been looking for a job for months, but nothing seemed to work out.

Bradley nodded, "I'm certain you'll get it. You're a smart girl. You've always been smart." He remembered how she aced her exams in college and graduated with honors. He said, "What kind of job are you looking for?"
