Lucia shook her head "I don't think you're crazy." She understood how hard it must be to lose a loved one.
"Thank you. Lucia"
Ann continued "Sigh… Look, none of them bothered to show up while I'm here. It's like I don't exist in their world. Lord knows I love my children, but sometimes I feel it's better to be dead than being around them. Sometimes I feel like their wives and children despise me. I don't really know what I've done to deserve any of that. Sigh... Maybe I'm just overthinking things like they say I am. They call me the crazy grandma," Ann said.
Lucia felt pity for Ann. She couldn't ever imagine putting her grandma through that. She reached out and held her hand.
"I'm so sorry to hear that," she said.
"Don't be. I overheard my son and his wife discussing to send me to a retirement home. Tsk. I mean, how can they do that to me? Almost like I don't have anyone else," Ann said.
