"Silly," Lucia muttered, knowing exactly what Samantha was thinking.
With Samantha gone, Bradley turned to Lucia, "Shall we?"
"Right," Lucia agreed, following Bradley to his car. He opened the passenger door for her like a gentleman, and once settled, Lucia's phone chimed. It was a text from Samantha: 'The hot customer Crawford would boil with rage if he saw you both.'
Lucia dimmed the brightness of her phone, afraid Bradley might see her screen, and quickly sent a text back to Samantha before putting the phone down. She looked up to see the car moving onto the road.
Feeling awkward being alone with him, Lucia cleared her throat. "Your car looks nice," she said.
"Thanks, I got it last year. I didn't really like it at first, but I'm glad you do," Bradley replied.
"Ha, right," Lucia said awkwardly, the silence settling in the car once again before she remembered, "Oh, I brought my payment."
