What Are You Doing With My Granddaughter

"Just so you know, I just wanted to have a look at the person who stole my bag and made me twist my ankle."

Ethan's gaze was hard to read as he clenched his jaw, his voice laced with a bitter edge. "So what do you want to do, press charges? Go ahead," he scoffed, turning away. "Just so you know, I don't have any money for compensation. The most you'll get is the satisfaction of seeing me rot in jail."

Lucia's heart broke at the thought. Who would abandon their child?
