The Birth of Muyan

Evidently, Gu Muyan will finally get the freedom that she has been praying for, for a very long time because she's now at the place where she can do all the things that she wanted to do as a princess.

Muyan froze for a while. She is thinking again about the possibilities of living in this world. Muyan also studied the area where she is currently standing.

"Wow! The floor is a sizable cement area." She said in an amazed voice while looking at the scene. "Well, I know that the sinner will be condemned in this area. The view of the area is really the same as what I saw on Chinese historical dramas." She added.

Muyan laughed because of what she observed.

"What a nice place!" She complimented.

While she was busy laughing alone and observing the place, she stopped what she was doing as she heard the Emperor's voice.

"Muyan, why are you not moving?" The Emperor asked when he noticed that Muyan had stopped walking.

"I am thinking about something. HAHAHA!" She answered in a low tone of voice while continuing to laugh.

"Again?" The Emperor asked.

Muyan nodded and began to walk closer to him. She stopped laughing at this moment, but she's still wearing a wide smile. She bowed to the Emperor to apologize for not paying attention.

"Forgive me, Your Majesty." She said.

The Emperor looked at her serenely. She bit her nails because the Emperor looked serious and didn't utter even a single word.

Finally! The door of the palace is now open.

"Muyan, let's get inside." He commanded.

Muyan nodded and walked with him. They get inside the palace together.

When they were already inside the palace, Muyan's eyes widened in shock at what her two eyes were able to see. Finally! She stepped onto the wooden floor of the real palace of history.

"Woah, there are golds in every corner." She said this in her mind while her eyes were gleaming.

She regretted not meeting the Emperor sooner after noticing how immaculate the palace was.

Muyan's eyes are really mischievous. She saw the immortals who were sitting on the floor.

"Oh, the immortals!" She said excitedly in her mind again while she was still moving her eyes because she was finding a handsome man whom she could nominate as her Mr. Right.

All of the immortals bowed to greet them.

"Emperor Fangning, have a good day and good health. Princess Gu Muyan, welcome to our realm!" They greeted them with a warm welcome.

They repeated this line three times.

Muyan and the Emperor bowed at them too.

For now, she's like an actress in a historical drama. For a very long time, Muyan's desire to be a princess actually came true, yet she still feels that everything is surreal. Does this situation actually exist, or is it all just a part of her dream?

To confirm that she was not dreaming, she pinched her cheeks.

"Ouch!" She groaned loudly.

She's hurt so bad.

All of the immortals are now looking at Muyan with saddened looks. They're really worried because they heard Muyan's groan.

"Princess, are you alright?" The handsome long-haired man asked.

Muyan nodded at them to let them know that she was okay.

After nodding, she touched the part of her face that she had pinched using her left hand while continuing to say the word "Aww" in a very low tone of voice.

At this moment, she realized that everything was true.

Muyan stopped touching her face.

She smiled at the immortals, who were still looking at her. So that she wouldn't feel awkward, she and the Emperor continued their steps until they reached the center.

However, the unparalleled beauty of Muyan stood out in the Dong Clan, eliciting broad smiles from the immortals who gazed upon her. Even the General of the forces was awestruck by her unique appearance.

"Greetings to you, Your Majesty!" Muyan bowed to the girl who was sitting on the throne.

The esteemed Empress Gu Lai rose to welcome the new princess of the Dong Clan. She approached Muyan with great joy and didn't hesitate to touch her face.

The empress immediately took a liking to her and even considered her a potential successor to lead their clan. It was perfect timing, as the empress and her husband, the Emperor, were planning to step down from their positions.

Empress Gu Lai recognized that Muyan was the rightful choice to be their next leader.

"You're the most gorgeous girl in our clan. Just be good to everyone because I will pass my crown to you at the right time." The Empress said to Muyan. Muyan smiled in response, appreciating the offer.

However, she wasn't selfish. She knew that the Empress had her own daughters, and she didn't want to compete for the position that rightfully belonged to them.

Her goal was to build friendships with the princesses and enjoy a peaceful life in the Dong Clan. This was her plan even before she entered the palace. Moreover, she believed she wasn't in the right position to challenge the rights of the Empress's true heirs.

Muyan didn't want to hurt someone's feelings, as it was not in her nature.

To lessen any potential pain, she hugged the Empress and explained why she couldn't accept the offer. "Your Majesty, you have your daughters. I would like to suggest that you choose one of them to become the ruler of the Dong Clan in the future. I won't accept your offer because I don't deserve it. Thank you!"

After declining the offer, she respectfully bowed to the empress, emphasizing her desire for a peaceful life and her lack of ambition for leadership.

Empress Gu Lai laughed heartily and treated Muyan as if she were an ordinary immortal.

"Don't belittle yourself; none of my daughters are suitable for the crown as they are stubborn and not intelligent enough" The Empress said while smiling at her.

The princesses listening were hurt and showed envy and anger towards Muyan. She glanced at the three princesses, hoping for a smile, but they only gave her hostile looks.

Muyan realized that she was unwelcome by these princesses, as if they feared she would take away everything meant for them.

Knowing they were jealous, Muyan brushed it off, as she was used to such feelings. She had done nothing wrong, and in truth, she preferred the princesses to be the leaders, as they rightfully deserved.

To ease the princesses' hurt feelings and to express her gratitude, Muyan quickly came up with an excuse to leave the Empress's presence and erase any thoughts of her being the potential leader.

"Ahhmm... I am so tired right now" She lied while acting like she was really exhausted. She yawned in front of them just to make the Empress believe that she really needed rest.

"Really, you're that tired?" The Empress asked.

Muyan nodded at her.

"You didn't look tired a while ago. Why is it so sudden that you became like that?" The Empress added.

"That was a while ago; I am really tired right now. If I can't go to my room, I will pass out." She lied again.

"Even though your explanation is unavailable, okay! You're tired. Go to your room now."

The Empress forced herself to believe Muyan's poor acting.

"Thanks, Empress!"

Muyan respectfully bowed and bid farewell to the esteemed Empress Gu Lai.

Muyan was about to walk to her room, but she froze when she remembered something.

"OMG! I forgot my maleta in the forest!" She shouted when she remembered that she never brought her maleta to the palace.

Muyan looked sad right now, and this is evident in her eyes.

The Emperor walks towards her with a serene look.

"I will command our forces to get it for you. Take a rest now. The forces will hand you your maleta later" The Emperor said.

After hearing this, the sadness that Muyan had felt suddenly vanished.

She smiled widely because someone will take her maleta back, and she can finally leave the Empress.

"Goodbye, Your Majesty!" Muyan said.

Muyan bowed again to her.

"Accompany our future ruler!" The Empress commanded.

Muyan left the Empress, and she was excited while walking to go to her room with the maidservants.

When she was already inside her room, she was overwhelmed with joy.

"Thanks for accompanying me! All of you may go now" She commanded.

She dismissed the maidservants as soon as possible so that she could rest.
