For a moment, she had thought it was another hidden message from RACQI.

But then, she saw a note attached to the lantern:

Ana chuckled. It was clear who the letter was from. Then, at the bottom of the page, Ana noticed more words.

"PS. You should probably wish to get over your fear of heights."

Ana rolled her eyes. She was an assassin, of course, she wasn't afraid of heights but it was better for Valerian would think that, instead of finding out her true feelings.

Ana was pulled away from her thoughts when she heard a knock on her door. "Who could that be?" Ana asked herself as she headed for the door. It was a Saturday so she wasn't expecting anyone to come and visit her.

As Ana approached the door, she mentally scanned through the list of people who might have reason to seek her out.
