He bit his lip, surveying the situation. If arrows started flying, then the numbers of the enemy would grow increasingly hard to overcome. They'd be pinned in place, unable to do much.

He caught a glimpse of movement at the main entrance to the house. Or at least he thought he did. He waited a moment, his eyes fixed on the door where something had caught his eye… and then… nothing. Had he imagined it?

BAMMM!

An instant later, the door was cast off its hinges, as Blackbeard's boot found it.

With the door gone, there was room enough on the step for four men to stand side by side. Moesh stood on one side of him, and then there was another veteran, one whose name Vol didn't know. Behind them Vol was sure he could see more men… but more importantly, he could see the bulging of their sacks.
