But such were the thoughts of the weak. Vol ignored them and began his swinging of the mace with reckless vigour. Now this here was a better weapon. Almost like the axe. Almost better than the axe. He could see its capabilities, the features that it had that overshadowed that of the axe. This was a weapon purely about blunt force. He didn't have to watch for the positioning of the blade, and he could easily beat a man in armour to death with it.

He imagined that it would have been fairly easy to put a sizable dent in a man's helmet with it, and he deviated from his routine diagonal slashes to try that. Yes, a weapon like that, perhaps just a little bit heavier – that could cause chaos on a battlefield. Depending on his enemy, Vol could see himself choosing a mace over an axe.
