He began to take his weapons back inside. He didn't fear for where he put them. None dared to touch them, but Vagrin, in particular, had taken charge to ensure that they'd never go missing. As a master of keeping things hidden himself, he also seemed to be an expert at finding things. None doubted his ability to locate a thief, if the day was to ever come.

He set the inner wall of the longhouse, taking care to avoid the men that were still sleeping under their furs. The fire had burned out hours ago, but it didn't matter. There was true spring in the morning that day and the dawn chill wasn't as cold as it often could be.
