Training an Army - Part 3

"Zhely the same," Northy had added. "Her way seems to be in agreement with the wind. We're in for a rough one. What do you think, Commander?"

"We'll run it over, same as always," Vol had grunted. "You fools don't seem to realize just how much stronger you've become in these last two weeks. It would take an Earl's army to stand against us."

Thankfully, no Earls yet seemed to be on the horizon, and as long as they remained in Earl Maddon's territory, it seemed likely to stay that way. After all, not even Earl Brighteyes would be keen to start a war with such a well-battled old Earl.
