She snarled. She saw him fighting, and she almost wished that he fell to the axe.

That feeling caught her with alarm. As a Fragment, the last thing she ought to wish for was her own Vessel's death. "What is happening to me..?" She murmured, looking down at herself. It was undoubtedly a human form that she stood in. That of a beautiful woman with hair and eyes as black as the darkest of seas. Ordinarily, she would have reverted by now. She would have shown the fluid monstrousness that lay beneath the surface, but she hadn't.

She didn't understand it – and so she returned to her early command. Vol might have rejected it, but she would not allow it. After all, it was she that was the Fragment of Pandora, not he. Even if he had managed to subordinate her, he did not own her. Weak as he now was, in his moment of plight, he could not afford to reject the power that she could offer him.

Before Northy's life expired, she attempted to snatch it away.
