When the time finally came that Lady Tiller laid her head against the table, her chest heaving up and down, their little dinner party seemed to have drawn itself quite firmly to a close. By that point, Penelope had already allowed herself into her sleep, as she leaned against Vale's shoulder. Vale might have drifted off the same, but out of some strange sense of duty, she gently kept her charge protected with an arm, and her eyes fixed on the rest of the room.
"It isn't so bad to have a nice feast once in a while, is it, Lord Commander?" She said quietly to Vol, one of the few men on the table that was still awake.
Vol grunted in agreement.
