The chairman’s gift

Mr. Quinn made his way down the stairs, his footsteps echoing in the grand foyer of the mansion. Edwards and Annabelle anxiously waited for him at the bottom, anticipation written all over their faces. They wondered what the wedding gift he had announced to them could be.

Inwardly, Edwards hoped it would be a transfer of ownership of the company. He had been working diligently for years, hoping one day the business would become his own. It would be a dream come true. Annabelle, on the other hand, had no specific expectations but was excited to see what her father-in-law had in store for them.

Mr. Quinn sat on the luxurious sofa, gesturing for Edwards to come closer. Edwards walked up to his father and bent down, waiting for him to reveal the gift. His father handed him a small gift box, a knowing smile playing on his lips.

"There you go, my son. Open it with your wife," Mr. Quinn said, his voice filled with a mix of excitement and curiosity.
