Chapter 14: Husband Throws Her into the Police Station Himself (2)_1

Randy Hill whispered to Edward Anderson, "How did you manage to piss off Miss Scott again?"

He had witnessed Bella Scott's destructive power before; even if she suddenly burned down the hotel, he wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

Edward Anderson glanced at Randy Hill, who immediately shut his mouth and stepped aside to watch the drama unfold.

Edward Anderson approached a policewoman and said coldly, "Give me the handcuffs!"

The policewoman hesitated but, almost instinctively, handed Edward Anderson the handcuffs.

Edward Anderson had an imposing aura that made people unconsciously follow his orders.

With the handcuffs in hand, Edward Anderson slowly approached Bella Scott, "I heard you want me to personally escort you somewhere."

Bella Scott looked at Edward Anderson, her lips pressed tightly together, and said nothing.

Edward Anderson grabbed her hands and handcuffed her, "Bella Scott, your wish is my command!"

In that moment, Bella Scott was certain she would never forget Edward Anderson's cold and indifferent gaze. She believed he was a heartless, unfeeling creature.

For a very long time, Bella Scott had always been at Edward Anderson's side, just as he had been at hers. This must have been what people called childhood sweethearts.

From the moment Edward Anderson had fled their arranged marriage two years ago, she knew just how ruthless his heart could be.

So, at this moment, she wasn't at all surprised by his ruthlessness.

As they were leaving the hotel, reporters suddenly appeared and started taking pictures of Bella Scott and Edward Anderson.

"Mr. Anderson, we received information that Miss Scott got into trouble, and you're personally escorting her to the police station. Is this true?" The reporter's gaze fixed on Bella Scott's handcuffed wrists, hidden under her clothes.

Edward Anderson looked at Randy Hill, who understood the situation and had security guard drive the reporters away.

Not until they were in the car did Edward Anderson say, "If you apologize now, I can let bygones be bygones..."

Before Edward Anderson could finish, Bella Scott had already averted her gaze, looking out the window.

She had nothing left, and what little she did have wasn't worth anything. But she wouldn't bow her head to Edward Anderson at this time, even if it meant spending her entire life in jail. She didn't care.

Right now, she found Edward Anderson as disgusting as Mr. Brown, the lecherous old man. Seeing him every day was worse than being in jail, out of sight, out of mind.

Seeing Bella Scott's reaction, Edward Anderson instantly understood her meaning.

He didn't waste any more words, personally escorted her into the detention room, and then turned around and left.

Seeing the situation, Randy Hill said, "Mr. Anderson, why bother? Even if Miss Scott liked Charles White, that's in the past. She's your lawful wife now; she's just trying to make you jealous."

There was no need to make things so tense.

Edward Anderson said nothing, staring out the window in a daze...

As soon as Edward Anderson left, Bella Scott instantly came back to life. She quickly made friends with her fellow inmates in the Detention Room, calling each other brothers, and having a good time.

Finally, peace reigned in the Detention Room that night.

Bella Scott suddenly awoke from her dreams, startled. As she opened her eyes, she saw all the other inmates huddled in the corners of the room, staring at her like she was a monster.

"What's wrong?" Bella Scott asked, her voice hoarse.

"You were laughing in your sleep just now, calling out for 'baby,' so gentle..." one inmate replied.

"And then it seemed like you had a nightmare. You were screaming and crying, shouting 'My child, my poor child...'" another inmate added, "You must be worried about your child at home, huh?"

At that, Bella Scott scoffed. How could she possibly cry and laugh in her sleep? Besides, she just got married, where on earth would she have a child? Preposterous!

It wasn't until someone pointed at her face that she realized she was covered in tears.

At that moment, she was stunned, unable to remember the dream she'd had...

Bella Scott had a leisurely and joyful time during her two-day detainment. Aside from the mysterious nightmare on the first night, life in the detention center wasn't so bad.

That was, until her best friend Brynn Williams appeared before her, "If I hadn't come back to the country, I wouldn't have known that Edward Anderson had thrown you in jail! Bella Scott, you're really something; you're even enjoying your time in prison. Do you think this is your home?"

"I knew you'd come to save me, so I wasn't worried." Bella Scott laughed carelessly.

"What if I didn't come to save you?" Brynn Williams asked as she pulled Bella Scott out of the detention cell.

"It doesn't matter. I'd just stay here for a while, or maybe even for a lifetime. This place is a hundred, even a thousand times better than the Scotts' hellhole." Bella Scott was unfazed.
