Chapter 15: Newlyweds, Living Separately_1

Brynn Williams tousled Bella Scott's short hair, "How can your heart be so big?"

That was what she admired most about Bella Scott. Even if the whole world was against her, Bella could still live freely and easily. If it were her, she definitely wouldn't be so open-minded.

Bella looked at Brynn, originally wanting to tell her about her marriage registration with Edward Anderson. But thinking about Edward's actions, she felt nauseous and decided not to mention it, lest Brynn scold her.

After leaving the police station, Brynn advised, "Don't confront Edward in the future. You won't get anything out of him."

Bella wanted to say that she never wanted to have any contact with Edward, but when she had no other choice, she registered with Edward.

Now that she thought about it, her brain must have been flooded to voluntarily propose marriage.

She could never be a match for Edward, that cunning fox. In their first confrontation after getting married, she lost completely. No matter what, she would try to avoid seeing Edward in the future until their one-year contract was successfully over. Then, she would immediately dissolve their marriage.

Brynn sent Bella back to the hotel. Being broke, Bella treated Brynn to a cup of instant noodles as a way to repay her for saving her life.

After sending Brynn away, Bella treated herself to a hot bath and then slept.

From then on, she decided not to live in Edward's house. Since he was not around anyway, there was no need for her to return to that place that didn't belong to her.

The next day, as soon as Bella entered the company, her colleague Sienna Perez questioned her, "Bella, were you really in jail these past days?"

Bella raised her eyebrows and retorted, "What's wrong with being in jail?"

She had just enjoyed free food and lodging for two days, which was enough to offset her five-thousand-dollar debt. What a great bargain!

Sienna was left speechless.

Perhaps only Bella would think that being in jail was not a problem.

After dismissing Sienna, Bella was called into Mr. Clark's office. After reprimanding her, he handed her a case.

When she saw the photo on it, she instantly widened her eyes.

Wasn't this Charles White? The client was Elyssa Scott?

"Elyssa feels that Charles's background is mysterious. Charles is her fiancé and they are getting married soon. This is also Tyshawn Scott's idea: they want to investigate Charles's background. Bella, I know you are also a Scott, so I feel at ease giving this case to you," said Mr. Clark.

Before he could finish, Bella threw the information back at him, "I'm only interested in catching cheaters. Leave this kind of job to other colleagues."

Most importantly, she liked Charles. Even if she really found out some secrets, she probably wouldn't be able to handle it professionally.

Mr. Clark did not force Bella, instead giving her another case to handle.

Bella investigated the information of the people involved in the case, finding it very interesting. Catching cheaters was what she enjoyed, uncovering the true faces of unfaithful men and seeking justice for her fellow women was her favorite career.

At eleven in the morning, Bella began tailing the male lead of the case. Although the tailing was a bit boring, she didn't notice any unusual behavior from the unfaithful man until he returned home, making her watch in vain for a whole day.

As she was driving out of the community, she noticed a familiar car coming towards her. She slowed down, and sure enough, it was Charles White.

For some reason, she impulsively followed Charles's car back into the community.

Because Charles had not gotten out of the car, and she had just seen a woman inside, she became somewhat anxious.
