"It doesn't hurt anymore, don't worry." Cecelia Anderson grabbed Bella Scott's wrist, looking at the hideous scars on it. "Compared to the wounds on your hand, my little injuries are nothing."
"It's different. I've loved fighting since I was a kid and would get injured often. You've been a spoiled young lady, never having suffered before. Why should you be humiliated by Tariq Lane like this..."
As soon as Bella mentioned Tariq Lane, she noticed the change in Cecelia's face.
She changed the subject: "Let's not talk about the depressing people. I have something important to ask you. Did I have a glow in my eyes when I saw Edward Anderson?"
She didn't want to believe what Edward said but felt as if he had hit her weakness, which made her uncomfortable.
Cecelia thought carefully and then said, "It seems there was a glow."
"Either there was or there wasn't. What do you mean it seems there was? Are you sure you saw it clearly?" Bella stared at Cecelia expectantly.
