Si Ming, Gu Yiming, Su An and Guan Ziyao called out simultaneously, their voices filled with undisguised anger.
"Ye.... Yehan how.. how could you say such?" Tears welled up in Gu Shiyuan's eyes and she turned around and left.
"Shiyuan!"Guan Ziyao called out to her then glared at Si Yehan coldly "Si Yehan why would you say such a thing? Even comparing Shiyuan to a commoner who can't even measure up to half of her."
Gu Jingze walked over and the anger was clearly visoble on his face. "My sister just came back but yet she insisted on attending this banquet and now you dare say such? That wasn't enough you and your son had to compare her with a lowly slut from some unknown family who isn't even worth mentioning in the same breath as her!!. Is this how the Si family treats it's guests?"
"Bro Si, our families have been close for several years yet this is how Si Yehan treats our Gu Shiyuan!!" Gu Yiming said with a loud voice.
The temperature dropped.
Si Yehan's gaze was extrmely cold and dangerous.
"How dare you say that about mommy?" Si Xia stood up abruptly his expression no different from his father.
"Si Xia keep quiet, you shouldn't speak to your elders that way" Su An yelled at him and reached over to pull him to her side but Si Xia avoided her hand.
"I will not allow anyone to say bad things about mommy. Just because mommy isn't here doesn't mean you are allowed to bully her!!!" He yelled and tears welled up in his eyes.He turned away and ran towards the door. The crowd subconsciously made way for him.
"Si Xia!!!!"
Si Ming frowned and felt a headache coming. This child had been improving lately but now....
He subconsciously turned to look at Si Yehan. When he saw the terrifying look on his face he shuddered slightly.
Just then in the quiet hall, a soft chuckle could be heard.
"It seems like the Gu family has been doing too well lately" Si Yehan walked up to where the members of the Gu family stood.
His gaze was calm and indifferent but the deadly aura around him couldn't be suppresed. With one hand in his pocket he looked at them one by one as if marking their faces.
"I usually don't give others a warning before i act but on account of the friendship between the Gu family and my father i'm willing to break this rule."
"You dared to say bad things about my wife and angered my son. This two reasons alone are enough for me to make sure the entire Gu family falls."
The faces of the Gu family darkened and there was a trace of fear on their faces.
If it was anyother person in this room that had said this they would have laughed but it was Si Yehan.
He achieved so much at such a young age. Known for his ruthlessness and arrogance.
One sentence alone from him can buid you up or break you down.
In the business world he was like a god.
Who would dare to challenge a god?
Gu Yiming's eyes trembled slightly, but then he thought about their close relationship with Si Ming.
With that he calmed down. He would at least give some face to his father right?
But when he faced those dark pairs of eyes he couldn't help but stutter.
"You.... you wouldn't dare"
Si Yehan's soft laughter could be heard. It was so soft but in the eeriely quiet hall everyone heard it.
The laughter sent chills down their spines.
"Try me" And with that, he walked away. With one hand in his pocket and his slightly disheaveld hair. His expression was calm without any ripples. He was like a demon that broke from his shackles.
Just like with Si Xia they all made way for him.
This scene was the exact definition of that phrase 'The calm before the storm'
"Bro.... Bro Si, Ye...Yehan.... " Gu Yiming stuttered and looked at Si Ming.
Si Ming abruptly stood up and said in a stern and serious tone "Master Gu, I apologize on behalf of what my grandson said earlier. Even though from your perspective what the child said was rude, the child didn't feel like what he said was wrong. What was wrong was what you and you're family said to the child. If anything happens to my grandson..."
He didn't complete the sentence but everyone knew what he meant.
He then walked out in large strides. Su An didn't even bother to glance at them and quickly rushed out.
"What... What just happened?"
"What did i just see?"
"Did the Si family just cut ties woth the Gu family?"
"Woah i can't believe we just witnessed ghis scene"
"If i was Master Gu i would start praying to Buddha that nothing bad happens to Si Xia"
"Surely Si Yehan wouldn't do anything right? I mean these two families have been close for a long tjme"
Everyone stared at this person like she was a fool.
Si Yehan wouldn't do anything?
Tsk.
Who is Si Yehan?
To put it plainly he is the devil himself.
Gu Yiming was completely embarassed he felt like digging a hole and hiding inside it.
"Everyone, on behalf of the Si family i would like to apologize for the scene everyone witnessed and i would like to plead with everyone present today that word about what happened today would not leave this place. If the Si family finds out either of you spread the word out.....then i can assure you that the consequences will not be light. Also on behalf of my Master i would like to thank you all for attending, if either of you have not been priviledged to give Master Si his gift then please step forward and hand it over, if not then you may leave I hope you all get to your various destinations safely. Thank you. "
The person who gave this speech was Butler Fang, even though he is just a butler, he is afterall the Si family's butler. He held a very high position, even more than some of the attendees, so everyone tactfully listened to him and did as he said.
As for leaking information about what happened today, who would dare to?
