{Chapter 2}

We kept running from the hoard of zombies that were chasing us. Entering a building was a no-go because we would only get trapped in there with a large amount of undead following us.

*Huff* *Huff*

I could only focus on my lungs that felt like they were going to burst. I was never a good runner.

I didn't notice that I had accidentally split from the group.

The zombies that were following me were far behind. I looked toward my friends to see that they were trapped against a long iron fence.

They had a look of fear as if death was upon them. Their panic gunshots and swinging.

I couldn't let them die like this, not after all they had done to survive.

I stopped in my tracks and caught my breath before pulling my gun out and taking three shots in the air.

*Inhale*

"Hey! Over here you dumbass zombies!!", I yelled with all my might.

I take out my pocket knife and cut my palm in order to attract the zombies with my blood. They started to chase after me as soon as I did.

It seemed like their eyes turned red at the smell of my blood. I was scared shitless, but this is what I have to do. What's one person dying than three?

I could hear them call out my name, but I'm not looking back. I kept running blindly. A place far away from Amelia, Ace, and Layla. Am I going to die?

I ran into an alleyway, but it was a dead end. I kept shooting my bullets into the zombie's head. Until I had one.

I didn't want to die getting eaten by zombies. I took my gun to my head and took a shot.

Al had been floating in a black void full of chains for about 2 hours. She was going insane from boredom and loneliness.

"Arghhhh! How long am I going to stay like this?!", Al ruffled her hair roughly.

[System Breach]

Al jumped, "Ah! What the-"

[I finally found you, you shithead.]

Al looked around but saw nothing, but chains in the black void she was in. She was getting creeped out.

"Who are you?!"

[Are you playing dumb?]

"Where are you at?!"

[Oh my, it looks like you really did lose your memories.]

"What are you talking about!", Al was getting more confused rather than creeped out.

[Let's cut to the chase. I am a [System]. I am here to take you back to your original home.]

"I still have no idea what you are going on about. First, you pop out of nowhere and start insulting me, but you're telling me I'm not from my world?"

[Well, your soul is not from that world, but your body is. Now, come along. We must get going.]

"No! I'm not going.", if Al could stomp the floor, she would have by now.

[How annoying.]

"They still need me!"

[You're already dead. You can't do anything.]

"I don't care! I'm not leaving.", Al held onto the chains around her.

[This world has taught you to become defiant and childish…fine, I'll let you save this worthless world.]

"Really! Also, my world is not worthless.", Al pouted.

[Don't make me change my mind. Go to the middle of the chains.]

"The middle?", Al looked down and started to go towards that direction, using the chains to get her there. Something was alluring her. As if it wanted her to come towards it.

Once she reached the middle, it looked like the chains were encasing something.

[Finally, you made it. How bold of you, making me wait forever.]

"I'm not some sort of magical being! I can't just teleport over here in a flash."

[That's right. You're weak, as of right now.]

Al ignored the [System] and looked towards the chains. Whatever the chains were encasing, was something powerful. "What's in those chains?"

[Your ticket to saving that worthless world.]

[System Admin: Unlock]

As soon as the [System] said that the chains were broken. The item the chains were encasing was a big bright ball of gradient light.

[Go over there and touch it.]

"What? Touch that?", Al was reluctant to do so. She felt intimidated by the ball of light.

[Yes. Hurry up, you're wasting my time, you idiotic shit.]

Al gulped and floated towards the ball of light. She reached her hands towards it, and it engulfed her body.

The black void turned white.

"What the…", Al felt more powerful. She felt more like herself. She looks to her right to see a screen.

"Is that you, System?"

[Yes. Now that you have gained power, you are able to see my 2nd form.]

"How cool!"Al's eyes sparkled. Before the zombie apocalypse happened, she had read many webtoons and Manhwas about [Systems]. She felt a strong connection towards them.

[…Since you don't have any of your memories, let me tell you the basics of your powers.]

"Oh, uh okay. But, can you tell me what memories I forgot after? I'm curious."

[In a later time. When you go back to that world, you will be immortal. With your powers of creation, you can recreate anything you have seen before. Just think of what you want and think or say [Create].]

"That's really useful."

[You also have your [Inventory] skill. I imagine you know what that is already. If you ever want to use it, just think or say [Inventory].]

"Even more useful!"

[There is also your skill to [Fly] and your skill of the [Map]. You should already know how to use it.]

"This sounds like I have the power of creative mode.", Al laughed.

[You can even laugh now. How interesting. That's all for now. If you ever want to talk to me again, call out [System Admin].]

"Okay! Thank you so much System!", Al smiled brightly. She was getting a chance to save her world and her family.

[Hm…you're welcome. I'm heading off now. It's so tiring to talk to you.]

"How rude!"

The next thing Al knew, she was falling from the sky.

"Ahh! You damn System! I'm afraid of heights!"

Al was screaming and flailing her arms around. She saw that she was going to fall into a bunch of trees.

"You bitchhhh!"

*Thud*

"Ah!"

*Thud*

"Ah!"

Al hit some branches before falling to the ground.

"Oof.", she was flat on the ground, looking towards the sky. "I hate the damn system."
