'Will they line up side by side passing with me in front or line up like birds migrating in a right triangle formation?'

I told him to move in a bird flight formation with me in the center. Quickly, Chief Lee gave an order, and in an instant, 20 people swiftly moved into place, squatting down, with ten on each side, each holding onto the shoulder of the person in front of them.

"Take Nadia," Chief Lee said to me, "You will need her to return later." I looked towards Nadia, not wanting to part from her at all. I agreed, and she nodded. I crouched in the middle, letting each person behind me hold onto my shoulders.

"We'll be charging through rocket rain and possibly some gunfire; are you ready?" Chief Lee asked. Asked this way, I was understandably a bit nervous and unprepared for anything, especially charging into enemy territory completely visible with me at the front line.

It was a matter of life.
