I signaled to Nadia to stay beside me as we went down the stairs with Jack leading the way. Entering enemy territory isn't like going into a playground. I'll never know what awaits inside. I quickly emitted my energy all around and sensed at least seven superhumans in the middle of the room inside the cafe, a bit far from the entrance.

At least they aren't waiting at the door to ambush us.
