Gone

It could be said that everything has returned to square one, or perhaps even less, considering I still owe Master. But I don't care, as long as I continue working, that position will quickly turn positive. Nadia goes about her daily routine as usual and visits the Eve at night. If anything is different, it's the two guards who seem to follow Nadia wherever she goes, unseen. I can sense their energy, they are most likely bodyguards dispatched by the Central BtP Intelligence Division.

"Jaime," Nadia, enjoying her drink, called out to me as I served a few guests.

"Yes?"

"Why aren't you wearing your ring?" Nadia's eyes seemed to scold me.

I liked her question, proving she noticed me. My hand quickly unbuttoned a top button of my work attire, revealing the ring hanging on a chain against my chest. "I have to dry glasses all the time, and the ring might scratch them," I replied.
