My Two-Year Journey Through Time: Memories

"Are you the only one who didn't pass, Jaime?" our instructor named George approached me. We called him Mad Dog because he always barked with and without reason.

"I guess so, Sir," I replied, feeling defeated and grimacing.

"Jaime, frankly, this is the first time I've had to repeat training for someone, and I'm clearly not proud of it. I think I'll place you in various divisions to follow their training because I also have to train new people. I hope you can win over each division, so if they're interested in you and accept you directly, you won't have to continue the training. What do you think?"

"Sir, I have an important question, Sir!" I asked, unable to contain my feelings, especially after discovering I didn't pass.

"What is it?"

"Will I still get paid during this retraining?"

"Of course," Mad Dog answered.
