Chapter 10: Broken Beliefs, Unwavering Will

It was a bit colder in the morning than Elanor thought it would be, but with all the mountains in the territory, she shouldn’t have been surprised.

General Azzoth hadn’t lied, the demons were very loud as they partied well into the night. The bearded demon from before, Druroth, the one in charge, had let her sleep in one of the still standing buildings to get away from the noise.

She had fallen asleep in a chair and had a crick in her neck, but she’d gotten some rest and was much better off than the demons who had partied all night.

Some were passed out on the ground, missing articles of clothing, others were sleeping away their hangovers, and there were partners and groups she’d seen canoodling last night that she didn’t want to know the location of.
