"Why are you guys doing this? Why the sudden hate? Can you tell me what is going on?" I asked the trio, my eyes resting on an Adam who stared at me like I was some fly that was beneath his feet.

I was so dead curious now. Had anything happened? Did Claire say something that was untrue?

"Did Claire say something? Don't listen to her! She is…" I was still speaking, the pitch of my voice rising higher, when suddenly, my words were cut off, as my mouth was subjected to significant pain.

Daniel slapped the hell out of my mouth.
