More than a month had passed since Amden's birthday banquet, and surprisingly, things had remained calm during this time period. To the people who had speculated something major, it came as a shock.
But the intelligent people understood, that no matter what, to move against Vantistart family was not a decision which could be made in rashness.
Amden and Cilia, along with their convoy of cars, were traveling to the venue of the academy. His parents had departed early and would arrive there after completing some of their work.
The venue of the entrance test, the Star Sky Academy, was a few hours' journey by road from the town of Azalia.
Lucas and Luna had already arrived at the academy and had registered themselves for the entrance.
After a few hours of journey, Amden finally arrived at his destination- Star Sky Academy.
A humongous crowd was moving towards the academy, but being the heir of an elite family had its perks.
Very soon, he was guided to the VIP section and his car was parked.
As soon as he stepped out of the car, he was greeted by the sight of the majestic Star Sky Academy.
In front of him loomed sky high, vast and imposing mountain ranges. Nestled between those mountains stood the Star Sky Academy. The mountains served as an excellent natural defense with very limited and well-defended passes as the only options to enter the academy. Not that any person would dare to attack the academy.
These passes and the boundaries were heavily guarded, and Amden could tell that the entire academy was surrounded and protected by a powerful runic barrier.
Amid these mountain ranges, huge and tall buildings pierced the sky, representing the various facilities of the academy.
Entry into the academy was very limited. Only the students, instructors, and staff had general permission to go inside, while other outsiders could be allowed only in special cases.
The venue for the entrance test was located just outside the academy. A large temporary stadium had been constructed for the competition to take place and for spectators to watch the entire entrance exam.
Amden, along with Cilia, arrived at one of the VIP boxes reserved for his family. The VIP box was equipped with very comfortable sofas for seating, and a large screen attached to one of the walls was present to display the competition.
In the centre of the stadium stood thousands of students ready to participate in the upcoming entrance test.
Every participating candidate in the arena appeared both nervous and excited at the same time.
A few among them also displayed a confident or even arrogant expression. These were generally the members of powerful families who had undergone proper training for months.
The nervousness and excitement among the commoners were on a completely different level.
This was a stage and a chance that could permanently change their lives.
If they performed exceptionally well, they could catch the attention of influential individuals, large corporations, or powerful families.
It was a common custom for these various power centres to approach talented individuals and attach them to their own structure. They would even bear the cost of education and groom these talents according to their needs.
Although such deals were generally profitable and skewed in favour of these large power centres, it was an attractive and shining option for these commoners.
After some time of waiting, it was finally time for the entrance test to start. In the meantime, Rexon and Lily had also arrived.
They very much adored Lucas and Luna, and especially Luna, who was regarded as their cute little daughter. Hence, they did not wish to miss the performance of the twins and wanted to witness it live.
A large bell sounded, echoing all around the stadium, and a middle-aged man floated into the centre of the arena.
With the sound of the bell, the noisy stadium quietened.
The man in the air began to speak, "My name is Vale Dilian. I am an instructor at the Academy."
He continued, "Now let me tell you the rules of the test. The test will be divided into two parts."
"In the first part, you will be teleported into a forest to kill beasts. The time limit is eight hours," he said.
"The area for the test has already been cleared, and the highest rank of the beasts there is E Rank. The top 500 students will be admitted into the academy. The second part will include arena battles, about which we will talk later."
He continued, "Do not worry about your safety. The token provided to you during registration has a small teleportation formation engraved on it."
"The moment you feel that you cannot escape or have no other way, you can crush the token, and you will be teleported out," he added.
"Also, a few other instructors will be in the forest to protect you from unseen dangers. Despite all this, lives are lost in the forest, so be careful," he said.
"And a warning, that even if you defeat or kill other participants, you will not receive any of their points. So, mind your own business and do not engage with other participants."
With that, Vale waved his hand and numerous portals appeared in the arena. This was a rune teleportation formation. The participants moved inside the portals and were teleported randomly into the forest.
Multiple large holographic screens appeared in the air above the arena to display the battles and the rankings. And with this began the chaos of the entrance to the Academy.
