Failure

Looking at Laura, it seems to be back in her old self as she was wearing her old cheerleading outfit with a big smile on her face. Besides the big smile, the side of her forehead was showing a thick purple vein rapidly beating the same speed as her already rapid beating heart. Her eye pupils seem to be a different color from her usual bright blue eyes to bright pink making her seem more like a cheerleader from before.

Taking a few steps back, Scott couldn't believe his eyes seeing someone who was sensitive and fragile to being her old bratty self again. However, Scott still tends to try to talk to her and about her conditions.

"Laura, you're in your old cheerleading uniform again. How are you back in the cheerleading squad again? The other girls told me that you quit last week."

"Oh Scott! Who said I quit the cheerleading squad?! I'm the princess of Sunshine High, which means that I need to be the school's cheerleader! How stupid should you be to not know that?!"

"But Laura, what made you change your mind? I thought you wanted to be someone new. Last week, you were great with everyone when being our gym teacher and shared our feelings with each other."

"What? Why the heck would I share my feelings with you? The only person I share my feelings with is John! He's the King of High School! And yes Scott, I did change by being better than ever!"

"Comparing how you were last week after the Valentine's Day incident, I don't call it for the better. It's more like you're back to your usual habits." Scott looked even more concerned.

"Laura, me and my friends want to help you with your conditions and if you vomit even more blood, then that's a thing we're worried about. Being in this town for half a year, I can tell you that we don't have any medical facilities here. So instead, we try to do our research as much as possible to help what you have. It's not perfect, but it's better than doing nothing."

However, Laura tries to ignore the situation. "My condition?! What are you talking about?! I'm healthier and stronger than ever! Besides, we are teenagers! We don't need any doctors to determine if we are healthy or not!"

"Please listen to me. Vomiting blood and some leaking out of your nose isn't normal. You need a professional to look at your body, but this stupid town doesn't have any professional doctors. Shit, I mean what can our nurse do, give us an ice pack thinking that it cures every injury we have."

"And that's why you're an OUTCAST!"

"What?"

"You called our town stupid and I don't think my boyfriend would like that! He's the reason why not only Sunshine High is the best high school, but why Sunshine Valley is the most peaceful town in the whole wide world! You're just upset that nobody likes you in this town!"

Scott felt a bit angered, but maintained himself taking deep breaths. "Laura. Please. Come with me. You have something that you're hiding from me and my friends. We want to help."

"Wait? Me? Come with you? Oh no no no. Why would I go with an outcast like you? You outcast are nothing in Sunshine High. They have no talents, no skills, barely any friends, and have trouble fitting into this school like you always had problems doing ever since you killed Troy."

"Laura. Why would you say that? I thought we were getting along. Are you saying that what small connection we had didn't mean anything to you?" Scott started to get upset.

"Hm. No. Nothing from you matters to me you outcast. Only John and my girls matter to me. I mean what connection that we had together last week. I saw that you were just manipulating me so I can be your girlfriend. Oh how much of a degenerate do you have to be to force me to be your girlfriend."

"Laura. Please. Let's talk about this later. Right now, we need to get you the help you need." Scott walked towards Laura.

"And what do you think you are doing to my precious girlfriend?" A familiar voice spoke from behind Laura.

"I know that voice." Scott eyebrows rose.

"You manipulated her into being your girlfriend. And now you have the audacity to walk towards her. Oh Scott Smith. I offered you friendship and to be part of my High School. But what do I get in return? You killing Troy." John appeared from behind Laura.

"John?!" Scott clenching his fist.

"That's right. I'm back from my hiatus. I would've been in school if you didn't kill Troy. He was my friend. My best man. The person who would drive me and Laura to school every day. But now, I have to mourn my loss because of you. Your personality and stubbornness irritates me."

"You don't have the right to mourn about Troy John. You forced him to go after me and if he didn't you would've killed him either way. You never cared about him. You cared more about your ego and school."

"Me? Kill Troy? Why would I do that? The last time I saw him, he was dead and you were walking away. You obviously did kill him!"

"I walked away because I felt upset about his death. He shouldn't have the life you gave him being a slave to you. The car exploded behind him and he died from his rage."

"If you didn't kill him, then why are there cut marks on his body?"

"It was for self defense. It wasn't to hurt him but for my own protection. He was going to suffocate me to death on the pavement."

"Liar. He died from blood loss, you murderer."

John walked towards Scott.

"So Scott, outcast of Sunshine High, what makes you think you can talk to Laura when I was absent? Nobody talks to her besides me and her friends."

"Why can't I talk to her? We were just being peers like always. Also, if you did care for Laura, then why aren't you taking care of her condition?"

"What condition? She seems happy as ever."

"Oh don't play dumb on me John. She vomited blood and it's hard for her to even run now because of that. You live with her. How the hell aren't you not seeing her condition? If you were her actual boyfriend, then you would be helping her instead of focusing on your damn reputation."

"Don't you say a thing about me and her. Laura is my lover and I would always nourish her until we die. Isn't that right babe?" John put his hands on Laura.

"Of course!" Laura smiled.

"Also Scott, I think I've realized something about you. Half of the school year is already over and I saw that you were tampering with my classmates. Jimmy Wilson, the school Jock, the drama girl, and what I heard is that this school allows these so-called gay people. Eh, these gay people are a bunch of faggots."

"You shut your damn mouth John. I didn't 'tamper' anyone. You're the problem here. Jim was just trying to see his family before you decided to abduct him. Dwayne was the original Varsity football player until you decided to frame him over his body. Not to mention, you're racist and homophobic. If you were the King of High School, then I think you should be behaving right to others around you and not only those you like."

"I don't like those who I like? I'm just correcting them. You see, I grew up in a religious family from the words of the bible. According to the bible, it's a sin to date those who are the same sex so I decided to ban homosexuality in my school and town. Also, with that negro friend you have, I personally don't like her kind because of how they like to rob stores, eat like pigs, and always saying that one word that only her kind says, but why can't me, a white guy, say it. If it's offensive to them, why do they say it? So in order for equality, I allow some students here to say that word because everyone has the right to say whatever they want."

"Don't use religion as an excuse. I grew up Christian too and I don't think that's what the bible means."

"Then I guess I'm a better Christian than you because I read the bible more than you did."

"Scott, maybe what you think you're doing is right, but as a person who lived in this town and you as an outsider, I think I know what's right for these people in this school and town."

John took something out from his pocket. A remote control.

"You seem to be a lot like Drake. Having the desire to take away Sunshine High. But what was I thinking? He's the school bully. Of course he will try to take my role as the King and bring this school into chaos."

"Wait? You know Drake?"

"Uh. What are you stupid Scott? Of course everyone knows him. He's like I said the bully and vice of the basketball team of Sunshine High."

"Then what happened to him and his teammates? They were all gone when I passed by the playground."

"I got rid of them. Consider them expelled from not only my school, but my town. With Drake, I gave him the treatment that he deserved before coming here."

"It was you. You're the one who brought him to the federation."

"Of course I did. He was planning to rebel and take over this town, destroying everything that I've built."

"If he was a bully, then why not kill him?"

"Why on earth would I want to kill or even hurt anyone? I do what's right for those around me right babe."

"Of course my sweet John!"

"Scott. Looking at you, we would've been good friends if you just agreed to be friends with me. However, like Drake, you tear down part of the students I've known and been."

"Why would I be friends with someone like you? If Troy wasn't the only one to get exposed to Ashley's murder and Dwayne's framing, then that reputation that you've built will be torn down and everyone. EVERYONE. WILL. HATE. YOU." Scott gives an angry stare at John.

After those words, John suddenly had a flashback hearing those words again.

"I'm sick of our son! Dealing with these kids already, why have you given birth to another disgusting rat?!" A male voice in John's head.

"Honey please! Give our children a chance! John is one of our youngest kids. He has nothing to do with this situation." A female voice in John's head.

"Oh SHUT UP you damn whore!" The male voice got really aggressive.

"And you. You are a disgrace. You are a rat to the Decker family. No matter what you achieve."

[Everyone will hate you]

[Hate you]

[Hate you]

[Hate you]

The words echoing in John's head.

John also clenched his fist also giving an angry stare at Scott.

Scott and John both gave angry stares at each other as Laura stood on the side.

Suddenly, John's expression shifted from anger to calm in an instant.

"Scott. Have I ever told you what my intended major is when I go to college?"

"No and I don't care. I don't give a crap about college."

"Well, let's say that besides Jimmy Wilson, I'm also an inventor of my own." John activated the remote control.

Out of his backpack, a robot doll with drone propellers came out levitating above John. The robot seemed to be a fairy with a yellow dress and brown hair similar to the look of the princess from Beauty and the Beast, but with wings and blades as hands.

"What the hell?" Scott looked at the doll.

"Do you see it? Isn't it wonderful? A fairytale story always needs a fairy. Just like Tinkerbell from Disney." John looked at the doll.

"You're insane." Scott took a few steps back.

"Not insane. More like. A KING! And as the King, I expel you from life."

[KILL HIM]

The doll flew towards Scott readying her blades half the size of her.

"Oh shit." Scott then started to run as fast as he could.

Meanwhile, Isabelle walked towards her locker to get her bow. Suddenly, she heard crying.

Trying to find the source of the crying, she notices that it was coming from the locker behind her. She put her head near the locker checking if it was from the locker across hers.

"Mommy! Daddy! I miss you guys so much!" The voice from inside the locker.

Realizing that someone's in there, Isabelle opened the locker not realizing that it was already unlocked. Opening the door, it was a student that seemed very small.

"AAAH!" The child got scared.

Isabelle was surprised to see a child there.

"H-Help me. My mommy and daddy are gone and no matter how hard I try in class, I always fail! I'm only nine years old. I don't know how to do American literature or trigonometry." The child continued crying again.

Feeling worried, Isabelle tried to calm him down by cradling her while hugging him.

[Everything will be okay. I will help you find your parents]

Isabelle spoke in a soft and quiet voice.

"T-Thank you big sister!" The child calmed down.

Blushing, Isabelle was glad to make someone feel better. However, she questions how a kid her age got into High School.

Before talking to the child, she suddenly sees Scott running past her from a doll.

"Help! Somebody help!" Scott shouted while running away from the robot doll.

Seeing the blades on the doll, Isabelle ran towards her locker getting the arrow gifted from Dwayne from Valentine's Day.

"Stay here." Isabelle told the child then ran to Scott.

Isabelle ran to catch up with the doll to take a shot at it. However, the robot seemed to be too fast to take a clear shot.

Suddenly, she realizes that Scott was heading outside to the football field. Taking a quick turn, Isabelle ran up to the fourth floor to head to an empty classroom.

Heading outside, Scott ran as fast as he could thinking of how to get away from the robot doll.

"Damn you John. Sending one of your toys to kill me. Maybe I can try to make it to the shed and-",

Suddenly, Scott slipped on the snow falling to the ground.

"Shit!" Scott turned around, noticing that the doll was getting closer.

On the fourth floor, Isabelle opened up one of the windows in the empty classroom and got ready for her stance. She aimed her arrow at the robot as it got closer to Scott. Taking a deep breath, she pulled back the string seeing when it was the right time to strike.

"Steady. Steady." Isabelle quietly told herself.

"And."

There was silence around her with Isabelle now locked in to the target.

[Fire]

Isabelle released the arrow penetrating the robot doll.

After being penetrated, the robot doll exploded with one of its blades grazing Scott's cheek and the other pieces scattered everywhere on the snowy football field.

"W-What was that?" Scott panting heavily on the ground.

Looking at the building, he realizes that it was Isabelle who shot that arrow saving him in the nick of time.

"T-Thank you Isabelle." Scott sees Isabelle leaving the classroom.

Scott took a deep breath being relieved that he escaped near death.

"Oh goodness. I think I forgot to tell you that my fairy was explosive." John walking towards Scott.

"It's part of the magic that comes with it. If Tinkerbell can cast pixie dust, then my fairy can cast an explosive reaction." John looked at the broken robot picking up one of the pieces.

"The one thing that surprised me is who the hell shot at my drone?" John looked at building knowing that one of its windows were open/

"What the hell? I thought I killed them all. How the hell is there a member of the archery club?" John thought while looking at the opened window.

Distracted, Scott charged at John to the ground punching him in the face.

"You son of a bitch! What did you do to Laura? She was fine before you came back. SO WHAT DID YOU DO!"

Scott kept punching John until he was starting to resist Scott's punch having no effect on him.

"Are you finished?" John looked at Scott.

However, Scott kept punching John even to the point where it wasn't hurting him, but instead was hurting Scott as his knuckles were bleeding.

Before Scott took another punch, John grabbed his wrist. "I said, are you finished?"

"Hey! Let go, you bastard!" Scott struggles to be free from John's hand.

"I knew it. You are like Drake. Violent and rebellious against me and the school. I'm tired of you intervening with my peers and my friends. All those friends you have. They are mine. Jimmy and Natalie are my students, not yours. Also, with that fatass and gay friends you have, I don't mind killing them. Dwayne made Troy lose his position and Bryan decides that having two men slapping each other's dicks is romantic. That doesn't seem normal isn't it Scott?"

Scott didn't respond, focusing on being free from John.

"You know. My girlfriend told me that we were going to kill you before spring break if you don't admit to the school you killed Troy. Then, your role of being an outcast would be perfect. Desperate to fit into Sunshine High, you decided to kill another student for one's own attention."

Standing up, John dragged Scott forcing him to stand up as well. "Dealing with many students in this school. You are the most ignorant person I've met. Many students try to talk back against me. You however, punched me in the face a couple of times. Luckily you got some pussy ass punches because that didn't even hurt me but yourself. Scott. I've been given a chance to join me and live in this wonderful school with me and the others. However, after messing up all that I've built, I decided that you don't belong in Sunshine High. Instead, you are expelled from my school."

"So what now? Are you going to kill me?"

"You know what Scott. Yes. That's what me and Laura are going to do with you. Laura, can you give me a hand?"

Suddenly, Laura kicked Scott in the head to the snowy ground.

On the ground, Scott tried to stand back up, but couldn't as John and Laura both stomped on Scott as well as punching him until he was bruised and bleeding.

"That's right Scott. All you had to say was yes to our friendship and this could've been avoided, but no." John kicked Scott's head.

Going to his pocket, John brought out his stiletto knife, putting it near Scott's neck. "Any last words Scott?"

"G-Go to hell." Scott muttered.

"Poor. Words." John is ready to slit Scott's neck.

However, he stopped hearing that somebody was coming out of the school building.

"Damn it. Someone is coming." John put away his knife.

"Scott, if you ever step into Sunshine High, then I won't hesitate to kill you. Come on babe. Let's go home. I can't wait for you to join the cheerleading squad again." John walked to his car.

"OKAY!" Laura followed.

However, Scott raised his voice.

"L-Laura please?!" Scott yelled.

Laura stopped looking back at Scott.

"Please. This isn't you. Don't let him choose who you are. You were so nice being yourself and not this person that John forces you to be. Does our relationship from last week mean nothing to you?"

Laura smiled as what Scott said was meaningless to her.

[No. Nothing that we did together mattered to me. You are trash and that's what you are to me. AN OUTCAST]

Laura then walked away.

[NO]

Scott watches Laura walk away.

"Laura. No. Come back." Scott then sees John and Laura leaving the school campus in their car.

"Please." Scott put his head into the snow knowing that he failed to bring Laura back.

"I'm a failure. If I could've just helped her sooner, then she wouldn't be back to her old self."

"Scott. Scott!" A voice growing louder.

"W-Who is that?" Scott looked to his left.

Running towards him, it was Mr. Cheung in his brown coat and navy blue scarf while carrying his suitcase.

"Mr. Cheung?
