"Scott!" They all said as it's been a while since they saw him.
"Hey. What are y'all doing at my place?" Scott took a sip from his water bottle.
"We were worried. We were supposed to help Laura with her sickness, but for some reason you were missing for a whole week. I even had to talk to Mr. Cheung about your whereabouts and here we are." Jim said.
"Guys. I'm okay. But I don't think Laura is. Do you guys by chance know where Laura is?"
"Yeah. She's with John, but seems to be more hyperactive than we knew her. Did you also realize that?" Natalie said.
"Yeah. I knew something was off when John came back from school. It's like he did something to her. And I think I have a theory for that."
"We're listening." Natalie replied.
"So Mr. Cheung used to be part of the military back when he was in Iraq and he heard about something similar to what's going on with Laura's condition. It isn't about a natural occurrence but instead of a drug."
"A drug?"
"It's an illegal drug developed by Iraqi terrorists similar to an adrenaline shot, but is lethal if overused."
"So that's why I couldn't find anything in the medical books. There was something off about vomiting blood or blood coming out of her nose at the same time. I mean it could also be that these books were made in the 1990s and the Iraq War happened in the early 2000s." Jim figured out.
"Not only that, with John's unpredictable actions, there's a chance where he probably learned about it and replicated their formula as much as he can. I'm concerned that if that's the case, then how many shots did John inject her?"
"Looking at her, it seems that she has been through an overdose. If she goes through another injection, then she probably might die." Jim is also in concern.
"I want to head back to the school, but John threatened me that if I came back then he'll kill me immediately." Scott stressed out
"Not only that, but he didn't even acknowledge you in school, meaning that you probably don't exist in his world anymore. He didn't even mention your name back when we were at school."
"Really?"
"Yeah. At the same time, he threatened me and Natalie that after Spring Break, he'll 'rehabilitate' us into being back into our old selves, which in reality means that he'll put me back in that electric chair and John psychologically torture Natalie." Jim stressed out
"I'm really scared for her. At the same time, there aren't any medical facilities in this town. I mean Jim, it took us an hour to head to the nearest hospital and your bill was high as ever. So what are we going to do with her?" Scott and the gang were all in shambles
"I think I can help you kids with that." Agent Dan walking in.
The whole gang was in shock after seeing a gun in agent Dan's holster.
"What the hell? Who the hell are you?" Jim gives a suspicious stare at Dan.
"Damn, I guess you do have friends after all. My name is agent Dan or agent F5, an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I came to your town because of an ongoing case of residents in the town and nearby area going missing. Since then, more and more people have been going missing exponentially, so Scott is helping me uncover the case as I offer him half of my paycheck."
"Scott, is this true? Do you really know this person who claims to be an FBI agent?" Jim looking at both agent Dan and Scott
"Yeah. He's the guy who I've been working with since January because of our similar suspicion, there's something wrong in this town. Also, he's been giving the money needed to pay off your hospital bill so you should thank him instead."
"Is that true?" Jim looked at agent Dan.
"That is true Scott's friend. I was hesitant when sharing my paychecks, but if it's for a friend, then it's for a friend."
"Uh, thank you sir. Thank you for helping me and Scott pay for my medical bill."
"No problem. Now as an agent from the FBI, I want to question you all. More importantly, have you guys noticed any disappearances in your area?
"Come to think about it, there weren't many people in this big town when I first came here from Minnesota." Natalie realizes
"Same here. Back when John put me into a shed in a nearby house, I barely noticed anyone in the house. Even when I walk to school, I only see myself and a few other students when walking here." Jim notices.
Agent Dan then notices Dwayne. "What about you kid? Have you notice anything suspicious around you?"
"Actually, no or not that I notice my surroundings that often. I just head to class and that's it." Dwayne then looked at Isabelle.
Isabelle took a deep breath and spoke. "Actually, I think there's more to it. I have someone with me who you might get more information on. Don't worry Ollie, you can talk to the mister."
"Okay big sister. So a while ago, my Daddy and I came to this town after Mommy divorced him, so after he took custody of me, we moved here to start a new life from Missouri. But when I woke up after we first came here, something was wrong."
"What was that Ollie?"
"When I waited for Daddy to cook me pancakes like he used to, he was missing. I went to his bed, but he still wasn't there. When I walked outside, I screamed for my Daddy so loud that he still couldn't hear me. But there was one person."
"A person?" Scott looked at Ollie.
"It was a guy with blonde hair and his face was so wrinkly that it started to scare me. Learning about stranger danger, I ran into my house and locked the door after I saw him running towards me."
"What the?" Scott, knowing who that person was, didn't expect him to go this far.
"Even with my door lock, he somehow knocked down the door and abducted me into the school on Sunday. He forced me into learning high school and made me eat growth pills to make me taller, little does he know, I always spit them out whenever I pretend to eat them. Since then, I hid from that meanie so he wouldn't force me to do those hard things."
"Oh my goodness Ollie. I'm so sorry to hear that." Isabelle hugged Ollie.
"Wrinkled face? Scott, you never mentioned John having a wrinkly face."
"I didn't know either until he came back to the campus. I wonder how he got that wrinkled face from?" Scott questions.
"Anyways, Ollie, if what you are saying is true, then John could possibly be facing some prison time. Also, Jim and Natalie, I heard all about your conversation about psychological torture and something about an electric chair. So now, John needs to be arrested. Since I got some handcuffs with me, I can just head to the school tomorrow and arrest him."
"Wait, I don't think you can do that." Scott stopped Dan.
"Why's that? I'm an adult and he's just a kid. I can arrest some troubled teenager."
"I think he's more than just troubled, I think he's manipulative and unpredictable. If you try to arrest him, he'll probably play the victim card and try to talk you out of releasing him."
"Are you for real? Scott, the FBI taught me psychological training to resist some bullshit game he'll be playing. I think I can get him."
"But what about his unpredictability? John did something to Andrew and Laura, and he'll probably do something to you next like turning you into a human kebab or a limbless human. Also, where will you keep him? The FBI headquarters is half the country away and I don't think you can handle John when you are in the car with him."
"Damn it. You got a point." Dan put away his handcuffs.
"We need a plan. Even though our plan is to know what John is doing in this town, our first priority is to get Laura away from him and get her to the hospital. We can't afford to lose a split second on her as she might die from those drugs if what Mr. Cheung said was right."
"Who's Mr.-...... forget about it. Now we know what our objective is, how are we going to arrest John? That's the only way to get him away from her."
"And another thing. How are we going to get Laura to the hospital? I accidentally destroyed Ashley's motorcycle so that's not going to do it." Scott questions himself.
Everyone was questioning about a new plan to save Laura before John could put another finger on her. People were talking to each other not knowing what to do until Isabelle had an idea.
"The pep rally!" Isabelle shouted in a soft tone.
Everybody looked at Isabelle.
"John is going to have a pep rally for his return next week and it's a week away from Spring Break, so what if we use that as an advantage to get John away from Laura?" Laura suggests.
"Laura. THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!" Dwayne was so excited that he carried both Ollie and Isabelle.
"I agree with Dwayne, that could give us an opening to get John and Laura separated and to take her to the hospital." Jim agrees with Isabelle.
"Of course, I remember on the intercom that John was coming back from his hiatus from school! Since he likes to come in at the best moments of the pep rally, we can try to either take John or Laura away from each other."
"Why not both Natalie? If we can distance them as much as we can, then we can both put them into their place with John in jail or Laura in the hospital."
"We could, but if we did, then the school would be easily under suspicion and we don't want to cause a scene like what happened to Troy. Look at that Jim, I guess I'm as smart as you!"
"Very funny Natalie."
Suddenly, Scott thought about what Jim said. "Wait, jail?"
"What about it?" Jim looked at Scott.
"I think I have an idea. What if we try to put John into his place and put him in jail. I mean he did threaten to kill me, verbally abused Natalie, and tortured Jim. I mean Dan, can he actually get arrested for those things?"
"More than an arrest, he can actually get a life sentence doing those things."
"Great, then we can get John away from her first and then deal with Laura then. That way, John wouldn't go after me immediately and kill all of us!"
"Not so fast Scott. Even though what you're saying is true, they are still allegations to the authorities and they can't issue an arrest if they don't have full evidence if John allgatedly did that, but without much evidence."
"But what we are saying is true! John literally put a knife to my neck and I was almost a goner if our teacher didn't come out of the school building."
"Yeah and I was literally tortured by him. How will you still call those allegations?"
"Look kiddos, I do believe it, but do you think the authorities would believe in that? They would think you're either pulling a prank on them and not take your claims as legit or just being one of those schizophrenic callers."
"Shit." Scott in disappointment.
"What if we try to expose John? Wasn't it you guys who exposed Troy into framing Dwayne because of his physique?"
"You're right, but John might be self-aware of that and is taking many precautions to prevent that from happening. If we try to record him doing his horrifying actions, he would easily notice and kill us or try to confiscate the phone claiming that there are no phones during school time." Scott is thinking hard.
Suddenly, Jim had an idea. "That's it!"
"What's up?"
"I have an idea! I've been conducting a separate research on this and I think this might work against him, so here's the plan." Jim discusses his new proposed plan.
The next day, everybody, besides Scott, was in school doing their usual. Dwayne was doing a quiz in art class, Natalie finished her five page essay in British Philosophy, and Jim in Mr. Cheung's class was taking a ton of notes.
"So as you can see, that's why P is equal to 5.89. Any questions?" Mr. Cheung looked at his students.
Mr. Cheung then notices Jim looked at the door window next to him as he was wearing what seemed to be fresh nerdy clothes that he used to wear before.
"Mr. Wilson, are you daydreaming?"
"No sir. I was just looking at the hallway."
"That's fine. Just keep focusing on my class as usual."
"Yes sir."
Suddenly, Jim notices John and Laura passing by as they were both holding hands.
"Mr. Cheung, can I use the bathroom?" Jim raised his hand.
"Of course, don't be gone too long."
"I won't." Jim got off his seat and went outside the classroom.
Seeing John and Laura on his right, he quietly followed them as he took a pair of glasses out of his pocket, wearing them to bring back his old look from before meeting Scott.
As John and Laura turned to their right, Jim hid from behind the corner to notice that John and Laura were with the cheerleading squad having a discussion.
"So ladies, did you miss me?" John charming the cheerleaders.
"Oh John, we all missed you during your hiatus." Jenny said.
"So I heard you were now the captain of the cheerleading squad. Is that correct?"
"Yes it is. Laura stepped down and gave me her position so here we are."
"Aw that's sweet of you. Can you give Laura her position back?"
"What why? I thought Laura wanted me to have this role?"
"Well you see there was a misunderstanding. Laura wasn't thinking right and she would like to have her position back please."
"But Laura, why? I thought you wanted me to have this? You helped me pay for my new phone from what happened on Valentine's Day." Jenny was upset at Laura.
"She did what? That's ridiculous, how did she pay for your broken phone?"
"She said that she used your allowance to help me buy a phone. Right Laura?"
"UHH! I DON'T REMEMBER BUT I DO WANT MY CHEERLEADING POSITION BACK! SO GIVE IT TO ME!"
"You heard my girlfriend. Give her position back please."
Jenny, in disappointment, gave her position back. "You're now the captain of the cheerleading squad."
"HOORAY THANK YOU JENNY!" Laura hugged Jenny.
"Another thing Laura. Can you come with me?" John holding her hand walking to an empty part of the hallway.
"Laura? Resigning her position? What the hell are they talking about?" Jim slowly following them.
However, Jim was stopped by someone. "Hey."
Jim turned around and it was Bryan. "Bryan?"
"Is Scott at school today?"
"No, why do you ask?" Jim looked at Bryan.
"Nevermind." Bryan then walked away.
"Okay then." Jim kept following John and Laura.
"Aw what do I do?" Bryan walked away feeling upset.
Hiding in the corner again, Jim sees John and Laura in the darkest corner of the whole school.
John was arguing with Laura as she still stood happy. "How in the hell did you use my money? I thought it was prohibited from you!"
"OOPSY! I'M SORRY JOHN, NEXT TIME I'LL-"
Laura suddenly threw up blood on John's jock jacket.
In shock, John retaliates.
"You fucking bitch!" John started aggressively punching Laura as she threw up even more blood from her body and then throwing her to the ground.
"You ruined my favorite jacket! You bimbo ass can't think for shit! Don't you ever vomit on my shit. DO YOU HEAR ME!" John grinning at Laura.
"O-Okay!"
John then picked up Laura and then punched her really hard in the face.
In the background, Jim notices the violent actions against Laura as he straightens his glasses.
Suddenly, John notices someone behind the corner.
"Jimmy Wilson, is that you?" John looked at the corner Jim was hiding.
Not wanting any suspicion, Jim pretended to be his old self, tripping on the ground and pretending to be the person he used to be.
"U-Uh Oh." Jim "tripped."
"Oh Jimmy, look at yourself. Being back to who you are. But even wearing those clothes and glasses, there's still much more work to do with how you look. But keep up the good work." John walked towards Jim.
"However, if you tell anyone about this, then not only will I turn you back to the Jimmy I always knew, but I will rip your heart out and feed that body to those things in my cage."
[Do you understand?]
"Yes." Jim said in a pretending dorky way.
"Good. Remember Jim, next week is the pep rally for my return back to the school so you better be there." John left Jim as he took Laura with him.
"I will." Jim crossed his fingers behind his back.
Walking back to his classroom, Jim smiled as he took off his glasses.
[Now it's all according to plan]
A week has passed since Scott, his friends, and agent Dan all made their plan. Winter finally came to an end as it was the beginning of March. On the streets, things were similar to that of the first day of school. Parades were going on the streets, the blimp with John's face was above the school and many people were cheering on as the "King of High School" had made his return to Sunshine High.
In the gymnasium, every student in the school was present with the bleachers being so crowded that some people had to sit on the floor.
Laura, sitting next to principal Dover, was smiling in the crowd as they were awaiting for John's arrival with the dancers being in front of them.
"OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY! MY BOYFRIEND IS DEBUTING HIMSELF AGAIN! HE'S MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR! AND HE'S....HE'S…."
Laura couldn't think of what to say next with the gymnasium being so loud that it was starting to irritate her and for some reason was causing her anxiety. In response, Laura covered her ears and pretended to smile rather than actually smiling to not make her suspicious.
"Something wrong Laura?" Principal Dover questions her.
"NO No no. I-I'm okay. I-I can't wait for my b-boyfriend to come out, that's all."
"Right." Principal Dover said as he was starting to sweat a bit.
As the pep rally started, John was in the bathroom getting ready to put on his debut. He put a lot of makeup on his wrinkled face, which spread quickly across his face since January, to not make the students scared of him, ate a mint to have his fresh breath, and put on his Sunshine High jock jacket that he was known to have on.
Looking at himself in the mirror, John smiled seeing barely any wrinkles on his face and his cleaned jacket that wook him a week to clean on.
"Okay John, even though that outcast messed up a few parts, I can still fix it. I mean putting Jimmy and that negro back to their place after spring break shouldn't be hard to do right?"
"How dare you say that to your peers." Jonathan appears behind John.
"John, my little brother, you are better than this. Why call Natalie such profanity and why not let Jimmy be the person he wants to be. Why enable them to be who you desire?"
"Because that's who they are!" John starts to get a bit aggressive.
"No they aren't John. You are forcing them to fuel your fantasy of being a popular kid in high school. Have you ever thought about others besides yourself, about how they feel about this situation? Because what I see, you are hurting people for your own desire and you can deny it all you want, but last week you abused your own girlfriend. She was bleeding because of her sickness and you couldn't even acknowledge that."
"I had to teach her a lesson, big brother. She threw up on me, the King of High School, and I don't deserve my favorite jacket to be messed up by a some whore!"
"Funny for you to say. I remember you throwing up on my comic books back when we were kids. Even though they were unreadable, I didn't get mad at you because it was a mistake. Why couldn't you see it the same way as Laura?"
John didn't respond knowing it was a difficult question.
"Exactly. You can't think of that question because you couldn't admit that you were wrong in that situation. John please, I know life was hard back then, but you don't have to live like this. Give up on your deluded fantasy and make the right choice, which is let these people live peacefully in this town."
"But I am letting them live in this town. These people are living."
"You're lying. I know what you are doing to the rest of the people under this town don't lie to me."
"SHUT UP!" John then pulled out the soap dispenser from the wall breaking the mirror.
"SHUT UPPPPPP! BROTHER THIS IS MY LIFE NOT YOURS BECAUSE YOU'RE DEAD SO STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!" John then calmed down knowing that he had an entrance to make.
Leaving the bathroom, Jim was in the bathroom stall witnessing John's deluded mind come to life.
Coming out of the bathroom quietly, he sees John walking towards the gymnasium getting ready to debut himself back to the school.
[Until the unthinkable happened]
From behind him, John would feel someone handcuff his left wrist.
"What the?" John looked behind him, noticing a police officer putting him to the ground.
"Hands behind your back!" a police officer said, putting his knee on John's back as well as a dozen other police officers surrounding him.
