You Did This

One week ago, Scott, his friends, and Dan were all back at Jim's place showing them an invention he was inspired by.

"So these glasses I've built, they were inspired by the smart glasses from Korea and I thought to myself what did they have and didn't have. So when doing research on their smart glasses, I saw that many people on the reviews were complaining about the resolution on their cameras built in as they have blurry vision. Giving myself the opportunity, I used one of my old pair of glasses that John gave me and modified it into a smart glasses, but instead built in with a microphone as well as a camera on the right side of the glasses."

"But kid, won't John notice the reflection on the camera? We know that John is a clever person and will quickly figure out that he's being recorded." Dan being concerned.

"Not to worry. I'll modify the lenses to camouflage with the glasses as well as to prevent any light reflecting from it. Also, I'm going to make each side of the glasses look similar to make John less suspicious."

"Alright kid, but if we bring a police squad into the school building, wouldn't the school notice?"

"They would, but maybe we can use the pep rally as an advantage. We can make the gymnasium as loud as it can so that people are too excited and not focusing on what is happening outside. And luckily, I know how to start it."

The next day, Jim went towards the band room seeing many band students preparing for John's homecoming pep rally. 

Seeing each of their faces, they seemed to be overworked with their eyes being red and some having bags under them.

"Ah man. Me and the band can't keep this up. We are performing the same songs again just because of John. Please kill me." The leader of the band was exhausted.

"Yo Barry!" Jim walked towards him.

"Oh well if it isn't the school nerd. What do you want? To educate me on music theory?" Barry feels his eyes are closing shut.

"No. I want to offer you and your other band members this energy drink that I've been developing." Jim brings out an energy drink from his bag.

"Compared to many other drinks, I developed a drink just made for us teens that gives us the amount of caffeine we need to not only focus in class but also in our extracurriculars. It's zero sugar and consists of only artificial sweeteners to give it that tasting feeling to block out the strong caffeine taste. Also, did I mention that the flavor is a mixture of mango and orange."

Not giving a care to the world, Barry took the drink out of Jim's hand and chugged it down.

Suddenly, Barry felt so much energy as his eyes were awake and his body was shaking like crazy.

"HOLY CRAP! I feel so powerful!" Barry is in a hyperactive state.

"That's great! Also." Jim brought in Dwayne and Natalie with a bag full of energy drinks.

"There's enough for the whole band!"

Seeing what the drink did to their leader, the whole band dropped their instruments and took a drink from the bad. With the strong caffeine, the band members were now active playing their songs louder than ever.

"Things are going to plan." Jim said to Dwayne and Natalie.

As they finished handing out drinks, Jim made a promise to get more of them, but in exchange to only drink it during the pep rally.

Back at Scott's house, Jim continued the plan.

"Now that the band will distract the faculty and students from the situation, we can now contact the police and notify them that John abused his girlfriend."

"Wait. What happened to her?" Scott questions.

"Well Scott, if I show you this footage, I hope you can try to process it."

Connecting a USB cable between the glasses and laptop, Jim showed the footage that he caught on his glasses.

Seeing what John was doing to Laura, he started to tear up knowing that John doesn't care about her, but more about his reputation.

"Laura. No. I promise you. If we get John away from you, we'll rescue you and take you to the hospital as fast as we can." Scott then looked at everyone else.

"Dan, can I use your car to take Laura to the hospital?"

"Unfortunately, you can't. Once John is put behind bars, my initial mission to investigate him means not only about him, but other antics he's been doing. I'm trying to understand how a kid can kill a whole SWAT team. So once you take her to the hospital, I'll be investigating John's mansion."

"But I can't take my Mom's car. Due to my anger issues, she won't fully let me drive her car even though I have a driver's license. What am I going to do?"

"Use my car." Natalie gives Scott her car keys.

"Since saving Laura is a priority rather than John getting arrested, you can use my car to take her to the nearest hospital."

"Thanks Natalie." Scott smiled.

"Alright. Now we got everything set up, we can finally get this asshole behind bars and finally save her." Jim submitted the video to the police.

Back in the present day, John, in a difficult situation, was on the ground with handcuffs on. A dozen police in riot gear were surrounding him, seeing that he was a threat.

"Officer, what's the meaning of this? I have a pep rally to go to."

"Don't play stupid. You are under arrest for third degree assault and a potential murder charge."

"What are you talking about? I haven't assaulted anyone. Why would I, a student, harm another student?"

"You don't harm students huh, then explain what you were doing here?" The police showed John the video.

John watched the video realizing that he got caught last week punching and beating up Laura until she started to bleed. For so long, what he tried to hide behind the curtains was now revealed and his arrest was part of his consequences.

"But I?" John is having difficulties explaining the situation.

"You can try to lie about the situation, but we can see that you assaulted that woman. Also, we had reports that you were part of a murder that happened last year. Seeing what you did to that woman, we're going to bring you to our police station."

"But I didn't murder anyone. Who would report false accusations against me?"

"Tell that to your lawyer. For now, we're bringing you in." The police took John as they headed towards the exit door.

"I don't understand. I tried to hide this up as much as I can, but who? Who filmed that video?" John thought.

Suddenly, he realizes one possible way.

"It was Jimmy. Jimmy pretended to be a nerd, so he would let my guard down. But those glasses, he must've put in a camouflage camera so I wouldn't notice it. It was him. IT WAS HIM!"

Jim, following the dozen police, was in shock seeing that a bunch of police were arresting John. Seeing the plan was a success, Jim texted the gang to let them know that John is out of Sunshine High.

Meanwhile in the Pep Rally, Laura couldn't handle the noise.

"Principal Dover, John is supposed to be here, but he isn't coming out. Do you mind if I get him?" Laura covering her ears.

"Of course." Principal Dover was sweating a bit.

Laura, not being able to handle the noise, left the gymnasium to see John's whereabouts.

Uncovering her ears, Laura called out his name.

"John? John?!" Laura called out.

"IT WAS YOU!" John's voice was heard.

Following the voice, Laura ran towards it to find John, but what she saw broke her heart.

"DAMN YOU JIMMY WILSON! YOU DID THIS TO ME! I SWEAR I'LL GET MY HANDS ON YOU!" John yelled hysterically.

"John!" Laura tried to run towards him before he was forced into the police car.

However, it was too late as he was now in custody of the police being in the back seat of the police car.

"Jimmy! You're a dead man!!!" John screamed as the police were leaving Sunshine Valley.

"John!" Laura ran towards the moving car, but couldn't keep up with the car.

"NO! Come Back!" Laura collapsed to the ground on the street seeing them getting distanced.

Jimmy outside the school entrance couldn't believe his eyes. Seeing that John, the "King of High School," was arrested without the school knowing.

"I can't believe it. It worked! We're free. We're free from John Decker!" Jim cheering from John's torture.

On the street however, Laura sees Jim cheering, giving him a murder like face.

"So it was him. He's the one who called the police on him." Laura sees Jim running home.

"So that was it huh! Scott and his friends! All jealous of John and me! That's why they plotted against him! Because all of them just want to take John's glory!" Laura in a hysterical state.

"No no no. That's not true. Scott and his friends, they are trying to ….." Laura tried to clear her thoughts until she went back to her hysterical state.

"TAKE OVER SUNSHINE HIGH! THEY WANT TO DETHRONE ME AND JOHN! ALL BECAUSE THEY ARE A BUNCH OF NOBODIES WHO TRY TO BE SOMEONE!" Laura then walked towards the nearest fire alarm in the school and pulled it.

As the alarm went off, Laura went back to John's mansion with a hysterical smile having difficulties controlling her emotional state.

Running back to Scott's house, Jim gave everyone the news.

"He's officially been arrested."

Dwayne, Natalie and Isabelle were all celebrating seeing that John is no longer in Sunshine High and the students are finally freed from his control.

"Finally! After three years, he can finally stop calling me racial slurs!" Natalie crying.

"My club members death was finally justified." Isabelle hugging Oliver and then Dwayne carrying Isabelle.

However, Scott wasn't smiling as he kept looking at the window.

"What's the matter Scott, John is finally out of our lives." Natalie being concerned for Scott.

"I don't care much about that. Agent Dan might have the time to investigate John's mansion, but I'm still worried about Laura. I'm worried that her conditions might still be worsening after how much abuse John gave her."

"Look Scott. I know you're very worried about her, but this is one big step in helping her." Jim tried to cheer up Scott.

"I know that, but after Troy's death, I don't want to make the same mistakes with him as they were both under John's control and Laura deserves more than this. Talking to her, she seems like a nice person, but corrupted by John's manipulation."

"You won't Scott. Also, we're here to help Laura too. She might be bratty at the beginning of the school year, but it doesn't mean she can't change and be friends with us. You taught us that, remember?" Natalie joins Jim.

"Yeah." Scott putting his chin up.

"Okay, so now John is in jail, we now need to get Laura to the hospital. Starting tomorrow after school, when all extracurriculars are done, we need to pick up Laura after her cheerleading club is over. That way, the school wouldn't be suspicious of what we are doing."

"Sounds like a plan, Scott." Natalie then gives him her car keys.

"I'm going to trust you with my car since you're going to need it to take her to the hospital."

"Thanks Natalie."

"Also, you won't be alone. We'll be with you along the way. That's what are friends for right?"

"Right. I'll contact Dan so that he's free to investigate the mansion. That way, he can find out what John is doing back in the mansion and whether it was true if he was injecting her with those drugs. If she does then I'll...." Scott started to get angry.

However, he calmed down in an instant. "Nevermind, John isn't a priority in this case. So I guess that's the plan. However, I'm assuming Laura isn't getting off that easy as she might act like a child and refuse to go to the hospital with us."

"If that's the case, we have to be prepared. I'll bring my self - defense gauntlets since they came in handy during our fight with Drake's gang." Jim looking at one of his gauntlets.

"I'll tackle her to the ground since I'm a strong person." Dwayne suggests.

"What about me Dwayne?" Isabelle asked.

"No. You need to stay with Oliver. He needs you more and this situation may be bigger than you think." 

"But I helped Scott shoot down that monstrosity that John had? I can use my rubber arrows to stunt her?"

"I know Isabelle, but the point is that I don't want you to get hurt. Isabelle might be bratty but seems to be a psycho at the moment. So whatever you do tomorrow, go home immediately and take Oliver with you."

".......Okay." Isabelle sighed.

"At least you'll protect me, big sister!" Oliver smiled at a disappointed Isabelle.

"What about you Natalie?" Jim asked her.

"I don't have a lot of physical strength, but I can try to at least reason with her. She must be going through a lot of abuse, so maybe talking things out with her can get her back to her senses."

"I don't think that helps a lot. Natalie, I tried to reason with Drake, but he wouldn't listen. What makes you think that Laura can be reasoned with?"

"Because compared to Drake, she isn't evil, but instead broken. If the rumours about those drugs in her aren't true, she might be behaving like this because she just wanted acceptance and believes that the only person accepting her is John. However, the reason she broke character was because you accepted her, didn't you?"

"I did and realized that she only became a cheerleader because of John and not for herself."

"Exactly, so I think there's a chance that talking things out with her can help."

"Okay then, I'll call agent Dan to investigate John's mansion right now, so you guys should be prepared for tomorrow and get some rest."

"Sure." Jim and then the rest of the group leave Scott's house.

After they left, Scott quietly sat on the couch and prayed.

"Please. Let Laura be safe tomorrow."

Meanwhile, at school, the parade and excitement that the school and town had earlier today became a nightmare when people on the streets stopped cheering and the school had an early dismissal after Laura notified Principal Dover that John wasn't going to make it for unknown reasons. 

Back in John's mansion, Laura was going insane and destroying many things in her room from throwing her lamp across the room, ripping out her bedroom door and crying psychotically.

"Why! WHY! John shouldn't be arrested, Jimmy and those friends of his are. First I lost Drake and now my boyfriend! Why is this happening to me?" Laura crying while on her bed while hugging a teddy bear.

"But Scott. He didn't leave me. He. He. DESTROYED WHAT I LOVED!" Laura mood and personality shifted quickly.

"I'm. Going. To. RIP HIS FUCKING HEAD OFFFFFF!" Laura rips the head of her teddy bear.

Heading towards her closet, she took out her axe that she took from one of the residents from months ago.

"If I can't be with my boyfriend, then you Jimmy Wilson don't deserve to live!" Laura laughed hysterically.

The next day, the world became silent. With the school being quiet with John's whereabouts and the weather being dark and cloudy, students didn't see Sunshine High the same without John. As a result, many students didn't bother to attend school and others left early with the only thing active in school was the extracurriculars, especially the cheerleading team.

The cheerleading team was celebrating their last day as they cheered to a can of apple juice. As Laura wasn't there, Jenny had to make the toast.

"Ladies. This season was very weird since I was the captain and for some reason Laura became it again, but even through these weird scenarios, we did have a great season. I think we did great in cheering on our football team and we still practiced even if the dance team replaced us. So I want to make a toast to one of our weird, but fun season we had!" Jenny then made a toast and all the cheerleaders drank their beverage.

The cheerleaders would say their last goodbye leaving the gymnasium. Before Jenny would leave the school, Jim would approach her.

"Hey Jenny. Did you by chance see Laura around?"

"No. She didn't attend the last cheer meeting today. But if you do see her, thank her for me. Even though she acts like a bitch sometimes, she does make somewhat a good leader."

"I agree."

"Have a good spring break Jim." Jenny left the school..

"You too. Did she call me Jim?" Jim then continued his search for Laura.

He would look at her looker, but wasn't there. He would look in each of the classes, but nowhere to be seen, and then around the football field, which she wasn't seen.

"Damn, where are you Laura?" Jim being in the hallway.

[RIGHT BEHIND YOU]

With a quick reaction, Jim avoided a swing from Laura's axe.

Turning around, Jim sees Laura with a bloody face and her eyes popping out as if she seems to be more psychotic than before. 

"Laura? We've been looking for you."

"SHUT UP NERD! YOU DID THIS! YOU TOOK MY JOHN AWAY FROM ME!"

"No we didn't, John was abusing you. I didn't have a choice but to call the authorities on him. If he was your boyfriend, why would you allow him to beat you like a ragdoll."

"SHUT UP!" Laura took another swing at Jim but he was able to dodge it.

For self-defense, Jim put on his gauntlets preparing his taser coils.

"Put down the axe Laura! I don't want to hurt you!"

"Oh, hurt me? How can a nerd like you, all alone, can beat me!" Laura holding her axe.

"Because he isn't alone!" Dwayne approached Laura behind her.

"Because we are here to stop you." Natalie pointing her tranquilizer gun from the right of Laura.

Meanwhile, Liam was throwing away his basketball gear knowing that he wasn't interested in the basketball team before he went home. After throwing away his gear, Liam would hear somebody crying. Concerned, Liam ran towards the noise, which would be at the school cafeteria. Heading into the empty school cafeteria, Liam would see Bryan crying on one of the cafeteria tables.

"Bryan?" Liam walked towards him.

"Liam?" Bryan sees Liam.

"Do you want to talk?"
