SWAT

Trisha Marsden slowly opened her eyes, and she could not believe what she saw. She was lying down on top of clouds. The scene was just surreal. She was surrounded by mountain of clouds, and fields of blue sky.

"HAHAHAHA…" she laughed out loud. She knew what this is. A dream. Something her head conjured up to ease the pain and suffering otherwise known as her daily life. And she commended her brain for the effort. She did feel a twinge of guilt now, for putting her brain on the constant abuse of drugs and alcohol. Maybe her brain is like her. The more they got abused, the more dependent they are to the abuser.

"Enjoying yourself?"

Trisha was surprised. Then she was scared. If this was a dream, then she did not want to know who her brain conjured up. Dreams only portrayed things you've encountered in real life, not something new. And none of the people she'd met was good to her. Not even her parents.

Unfortunately, curiosity got the best of her. Slowly she turned around. And her fear turned to confusion and wonderment. There, floating behind her, was a baby, an angel and a demon.

"Is...this...some sort of a joke?" She asked.

The baby looked to his right and left, and smiled. "Yeah, I can see that. A baby, a demon and an angel walked into a bar right?"

"Hehehe, yeah. Wait, is this a dream?"

"Hurmmm, yes and no. How about that?"

"I don't...I don't get it. What's yes? What's no?"

"Okay. So this," the baby pointed to the clouds and the sky, "is indeed a dream. Us three, not a dream."

"Oh, okay.' Trish shook her head. "No, that's even more confusing. What is all this? Am I dead? Are you the grim reaper? Why are you with the demon and the angel?"

"The grim reaper, really? I'm not that handsome." The baby's joke made Trish chuckled a bit. The baby continued. "No I'm not Death. And, hopefully, you are not dead. Otherwise our effort bringing you to the hospital would be for nothing."

"Hospital? Why am I in hospital."

"I don't know? We just saw a guy emerging from the bushes, acting all creepy and stuff. When we go and take a look, we found you. We thought you'd know what happened."

As soon as the baby said that, it's like the fastest hangover reliever in the world. The fogginess in her head disappeared, and what happened burst through her memory like a bunch of SWAT rushing in.
