Chapter 11

Eryx clenched his fist in anger. Yet he couldn't show it on his face. After all, Alan was just a little kid.

“Dad, You didn't wake me up. I wanna go home”, Alan hugged his dad tightly. He couldn't let Alan stay alone this time but he just received a new case and had to leave him. His heart fluttered in pain.

“Braylon, you should stay with him. After all, he was just recovering. We can take care of the new mission. You should stay by his side”, Alex patted Braylon gently.

“We will talk about this case later. After all, we still didn't know if it was a prank or true”, Eryx got up from the chair and walked out. He was just bewitched by his son's cuteness and couldn't let him suffer but was stubborn enough to hide his feelings under his stern heart.

“Look at him, he still cares about you. Why don't you guys make up this time?”, Alex said.

Makeup, Would he accept the person who has a womb-like girl or even accept him? Wouldn't he feel shame because of that? Even though Braylon knows Eryx's character, he still feels insecure to disclose the truth. Maybe he knows more than enough, that's why he was feeling insecure.

“It's still too early Alex, Don't worry I'm not weak to let my love slide like that”, Braylon smiled brightly as Alex was stunned. Was he really a Braylon he knew in the past? He could talk like that too. He was happy though, at least he knows how to handle the situation.

“Then I'm leaving Alex If he asks about me. Tell him that I already left with Alan”, He lifted Alan in his embrace and walked out of the cabin taking his belongings in another hand.

Braylon left his office with Alan but he didn't know he was being watched by someone already. It was Eryx. He was somewhat attached to the little one. Whenever he saw him, his heart fluttered like they had some close bond.

AT NIGHT

After getting off work, Alex joined Eryx and went to his villa. He was worried about Revilla. His unrequited love still hung with him even though she was in a relationship. But now he was able to chase after her.

When they reached home, it was already eight o clock. They were surprised when they saw Revilla in the garden. Eryx gave Alex a chance and went inside the house. He hesitated to talk to her.

Revilla…

He called her name out. She turned while wiping off her tears. She didn't want to show her weakness to anyone, even to her friends who were like parents to her. She smiled painfully. It affected Alex more. He sat next to her silently as she leaned on his shoulder.

He embraced her. The warmth overwhelmed her heart and couldn't control her tears. She whimpered hard as he patted her gently. It could only be what he could do right now. She loved him wholeheartedly. The one who stayed with her when she had a hard time now turned out to be a total pervert. Who would accept that?

“It's okay, girl, don't cry”, He rubbed her shoulder gently. She hugged him and cried out in his embrace. Alex was totally a jealous type but he couldn't see his girl crying like that. The one who failed to see through his feelings was Revilla. By staying with the stone she lost a gem.

Soon she felt warm on another side of her. It was Eryx. He gave a cup of coffee for both and had his own too. They were sitting in the chilly weather and having a warm coffee. Perfect for calming ourselves but missing was Braylon's presence. They still missed him but refused to admit it.

“Thank you guys, I'm so grateful to have you by my side”, She wiped off her tears and looked at the stray night which was filled with the beats of crystal. They both nodded.

“Let's go in, it's really cold here”, Eryx got up from the bench and almost walked away from them. But was stopped by Alex's words.

“At least give him a chance, Eryx, he is all alone. I can't see his miserable state after all”, He breathed out his words. Seems like Eryx was affected by his words.

“Fixing a relationship which means to be falling apart, was an absurd one to talk about.”, After telling those words, Eryx walked away. Alex knew what he meant this time. He included Alex's relationship too. How sharp-tongued he was. but what he said was true though until we gave it a try.

Both Alex and Revilla followed him. They were missing their carefree college days. It would be great if time stopped when we wanted to. Alex was looking at the doll who was walking in front of him. Still, he didn't know about her physical injury. His eyes filled with love and care whenever looked at his doll who was unwilling to see through his feelings.

Eryx started cooking for them. They were helping him. Again they were missing their friend, brother, and love. If Braylon was here, he would have done cooking without even asking for their help. They were worried. Being a single parent was hard but they didn't know he was a single parent.

IN BRAYLON's APARTMENT

After coming home, Braylon cooked for a little one who was poor in health. After all, Alan had to take medication on time. Alan was happy because his dad was with him. He just missed his dad which led to fever along with seizures.

“Alan… come and eat…”, Braylon shouted while arranging the table. Alan ran towards the dining table while holding a bright smile on his lips, just like his dad, Eryx. He could see Eryx in Alan. Simple things could make him happy. Braylon smiled unknowingly. But soon a sharp pain hit his heart. It's Eryx's coldness that he didn't experience till now.

Alan sat on the chair. Braylon came back to his senses when he heard the chair sound. He served the food to his son and sat opposite him. He hesitated to talk to his son. What if he again had a fever? He was worried.

“Alan… I want to tell you something…”, Braylon finally said.

“Yeah, dad…”, Alan looked at his dad.

“Actually, I may not be able to stay with you for a few days. I don't know when I will return. So can you stay with your aunt?”, Braylon was worried about his son's health. Alan looked at his father with a sad look that already pricked Braylon's heart.

“But dad… you said… you will be with me… why all of a sudden?”, he asked his dad.

“I am sorry dear… it's all of a sudden… I didn't expect this would come. Once this work finishes, I will take off from work and we can go out but till then you have to stay at your aunt Zaneta's house. And should be obedient.”, Braylon tried to convince his little son. Alan smiled brightly.

“Then promise me… you will take me to the park and amusement park. Then I will be obedient.”, Alan demanded of his dad with a sunshine smile on his face. Braylon was surprised. How understanding his son was. Alan could feel his father's work pressure. He didn't want to bother his father. Even though he wanted his dad's presence, he knew how he was struggling to raise him.

“I promise.”, Braylon promised.

“Then I am going to sleep, dad.”, Alan jumped from the chair and started to walk towards his room.

“Take your medicine before you go to bed”, Braylon shouted.

“Ok Dad…”, Alan shouted back. Braylon sighed.
