Chapter 12

Two days later

It's been two days since they received the mail, and none were talked about after that day. Braylon tried to ask Eryx but always ended up being ignored by him. In these two days, Braylon was able to spend some time with Alan.

He brought Alan to his office and was taken care of by Alex and Revilla. Alan was always obedient and silent just like his dad Braylon, Eryx's point of view. Revilla tried to move on so she decided to distract herself by doing her work. She was staying with Eryx for the time being.

“Eryx, it's been two days since you have received the mail. Why are you ignorant? It's not your character, I won't mind whether you give me attention or not. At least take a look at the case”, As Braylon shouted at him, Everyone was shocked.

Even though he was superior, how could he talk to him like that? No one dared to mess up with Eryx. Eryx rolled his eyes dramatically as he had expected Braylon's outburst. He took a deep breath and looked at Braylon's crystal-clear eyes. He fell for those eyes though.

“I know when I should proceed with the case. You don't have to remind me. If you are superior just stay in your line. Don't ever cross mine”, He said with a stern voice. It made Braylon tremble in pain. His heart ached.

Braylon couldn't speak anything, he just walked away from him. It was rude though, did Eryx care? He was known for his arrogant and cold nature.

“In two days, let's go to that village. I don't want to be bothered by anyone in the future”, Eryx announced suddenly. They were clueless about what he was mentioning. After some time only they could understand his words.

Eryx got up from his chair and walked towards Braylon and leaned close to him. He whispered something to him that made Braylon tremble like a mess.

“We have plenty of time alone in the village, I will take care of the things in that time. You should be present in this mission”, His hot breath hit his ear. Braylon's cheeks were beaten up suddenly. What did he mean just now?

Eryx walked away from him after making him breathless for a moment. What a cunning fox he was.

After two days

Everyone was waiting for someone, and that someone was Braylon. He left Alan in Zaneta's house and rushed to his office. Today, they were going to West Falls Village. They were always acting solely. They didn't get any permission from their superiors. Maybe because they have solved many cases.

They got their way by solving many cases.

Alex was the one who was driving the car. Revilla was sitting beside Alex and Eryx and Braylon were sitting so close to each other. Franklyn didn't join them since he had to give some documents to his chief. He would be at the spot after they reached.

There was an awkward silence between all of them. Everyone was good at the terms of friendship but when it came to love, they were reluctant to let themselves hang in the pain.

Braylon fluttered his eyelids a few times before he could fall asleep. He woke up early in the morning and stayed up late at night. He was having many sleepless nights. But this time it was so tiresome for him.

He unknowingly slid on Eryx's shoulder which made the poker face shudder. His whole body was pricked with goosebumps. Again those feelings hit his chest and made him suffocate. He only belonged to Eryx. His obsession.

“This time, I will not let you get away from me Braylon. You would only belong to me. No one else. You are mine, mine to crave”, He was engulfed with his thoughts, and snapped out when the slight weight on his shoulder was gone.

Braylon already woke up from his little sleep. Moreover, how could he forget the smell of his man? As soon as it hit his nose, he woke up abruptly. A beat of sweat formed on his forehead making it obvious that he was afraid of Eryx. Eryx clenched his fist in anger. He was fuming in anger.

4 hours later.

They had reached the west falls village after four hours of tiresome journey. It was an isolated village with a good environment. So natural and like heaven in their eyes. Of course, living in the busy noisy city, it looked different though.

When they reached the village, everyone looked at them weirdly. Since the case was from the teacher, they should first check on the school. Before they could walk towards the Head master's office they were stopped by his assistant. Braylon and Eryx were the two who came to the school. Alex and Revilla went to check on another side of the village.

“Sir, May I know who you are?”, He asked politely.

“We are from the Criminal investigation department, we are here for investigation”, Braylon showed his ID card to him. As he showed, he led the way to the headmaster's room. For this small village, the school was big enough like an elite one. How strange.

“Sir, Someone here to see you”, the Assistant brought them to the headmaster's room and left the room.

“May I know who you are?” He closed the file that he was reading and looked at them. When they showed ID, he couldn't help but feel a butterfly in his stomach. How come CIDs were here suddenly?

“Sir, how can I help you?” He was so polite.

“We received an email that the teacher named James Trice that the student was missing”, Braylon started to talk.

“James Trice was a new teacher appointed by the welfare and staying here to teach the students. Since there were not so many teachers in the school”, He talked in a low voice.

“Let me take you to him”, He got up from the chair and led the way to James's cabin.

Eryx was silent all the time. He neither asked anything nor spoke. How come he was so silent nonetheless Braylon had a bad feeling about his silence.

“James, Someone here to see you”, The Headmaster called his name as he got up and walked towards them.

He looked as young as them, Looked decent too.

“May I know how I can help you?”, He asked politely. Headmaster left them alone and walked away.

“James Trice right, we are here to investigate because of the mail you sent to us”, Braylon showed the mail he saved from his system. James was calm and took a deep breath.

“I thought you guys won't take a look at my mail, since many prank emails you have received”, As he said, Braylon couldn't control his laugh but he had no choice and maintained control. He should be professional while investigating. He felt a chill in the back of his neck.

It was Eryx who was killing him in his dead stare.

“We will talk about that Mister….” James stopped in the middle.

“I'm Braylon and he is Eryx”, He introduced himself and Eryx to him. At least he introduced it now. They shook their hand and walked out of the school. While talking about what happened in the school.
