Jason vs Laxus
(Third Person POV)
"Alright." Erza said to the two fighters, "You should know by now, that I'll stop the fight when one fighter is unable to continue."
They were all in the fighting arena on the outskirts of Magnolia, one that was built for practice battles. Jason and Laxus stood on opposite sides of the arena as Erza stood on the side, the center of the arena. In the stands, the entirety of the Fairy Tail guild sat as they watched.
The last time Jason was there, he had faced Elfman who was fighting for the dignity of his younger sister, Lisanna. He had easily defeated the Strauss brother with no effort whatsoever, displaying his power for the first time.
Since then, a lot of things have happened. Jason had gotten vastly stronger, he helped Fairy Tail in many ways. In short, he'd become a trusted ally.
In the stands, Lucy, who hadn't seen Jason, even during the Endless attack, looked at them with a concerned face.
"Why're they fighting?" She asked
Levy, who sat next to her, shook her head, "Laxus still has some sort of grudge." She said, "Jason refused at first, but he couldn't get out of this one."
Gray, who was sitting in a row in front of them, looked at this, "I do wonder." He said, "Who'd win.."
Natsu looked at him, "You think Laxus will beat him?"
Gray placed his hand on his chin, "I don't know..." He said, "I mean, Jason has a pretty broken arsenal. But this is Laxus we're talking about. He's no you or Gajeel, the only ones that fought Jason and got their asses beaten badly."
Natsu scowled, "Man, he hit me with a sucker punch!!" He exclaimed
"A sucker punch that took you out." Gray said, "Laxus is fortunate Jason won't use his Martial Arts Magic. Despite seeming to be the weakest of his arsenal, Jason has plenty of crazy spells...."
Natsu nodded and leaned back, "Yeaaaa, you're right." He said, "His stuff is really crazy..."
"But now..." Gray said, "He's using to God Slayer elements....I wonder if Laxus will be alright..."
Natsu smirked, "He'd be alright." He said, "There's no way he'd lose to Jason!"
Back to the arena, Jason was stretching his arms as Laxus stood with his arms crossed. Erza, who was the referee overseeing the fight, looked at both of them.
"Are you two ready?" She asked the both of them
Jason nodded, "Yea." He said
Laxus nodded, not saying a word.
"Alright." Erza said as she raised her arm in the air, "On my mark...."
Laxus uncrossed his arm and readied himself, his eyes deadset focused on Jason who was looking back to him with a relax faced.
Erza brought her arm down, "Begin!!"
Almost instantly, Laxus lunged at Jason with tremendous speed, leaving a trail of electricity. As he launched himself at Jason, he engulfed himself in lightning, releasing a massive aura.
"Lightning Dragon's...."
He reared his fist back, charging an immense amount of lightning in his fist.
"Fist!!!!"
He threw the lightning-engulfed punch at Jason, attempting to hit him square in the chest.
However, Jason had other plans.
Laxus's fist hit something and felt as the lightning discharged, resulting in a massive explosion that caused a massive shockwave.
"W-what?" Laxus said as he saw that his fist had hit a black stone wall
Jason had raised a stone wall to defend himself from Laxus's attack. He was smirking slightly as he rubbed his neck.
"Earth God Slayer Magic." He said as he readied himself, "Good Defense. And...."
Jason reared his fist back as his arm turned black.
"Great Offense!!!" He shouted as he punched the wall
Laxus jumped away as the wall shattered, sending stone debris flying out with great force. Several pieces of stone hit him all over his body, causing bruises all around.
"Tch." Laxus said as he landed on the ground
Jason had already launched himself above him as he reared his left arm back, gathering wind on his fist.
Laxus widened his eyes, "Wha?"
"Sky God's Tempest!"
Jason launched a massive stream of black wind at Laxus, who was just barely able to dodge it. The attack hit the ground, causing a massive explosion of wind.
Jason then landed on the ground and was able to block the lightning engulfed fist that Laxus had launched at him, surprised he was able to counter an attack with such speed. The force of the attack was so strong that it caused a shockwave.
Laxus noticed that Jason's arm was covered in a black-stone plating that shattered as he backed himself up.
"Hm..." He said as readied another attack
"Not so fast, bucko." Jason said as he stomped the ground
Suddenly, the earth beneath Jason turned black and shot towards Laxus in a wave of black earth. He had softened the earth and sent it towards Laxus.
Laxus waved his arm, causing a massive lightning explosion in an instant. The lightning was able to destroy the black earth wave with ease.
In the stands, Gray had his eyes widened in surprise.
"Laxus was able to counter a god-slayer element head-on?" He said in awe
Natsu smiled, "Attaboy Laxus!!"
Laxus then launched himself at Jason who waved his hand, sending a massive wave of black wind at him. Laxus, using his lightning to enhance his reflexes, jumped out of the way and in an instant, launched himself at Jason for another punch.
Jason met Laxus with his forearm which was covered in the stone plating.
At this point, Laxus noticed something.
Laxus then jumped away and saw as Jason wave more black wind at him. Laxus then jumped away to avoid the wind and looked at Jason.
"Hm, so your earth god slayer magic isn't good for range attacks...." He said, "And your sky god slayer magic isn't good for close range...."
Laxus then charged his lightning aura even more, releasing an immense aura. Jason, who was anticipating another head-on attack, readied his Earth God Slayer defense. It was this that Laxus had noticed when he switched God Slayer elements.
"And more importantly..." Laxus said
Jason was about to activate his Earth God Slayer magic when suddenly, Laxus had flashed past him in a fraction of a second.
"Thunder Dragon's Godspeed Claw."
Jason suddenly coughed up blood as he looked at his side, blood pouring out of a massive gash that was caused by Laxus.
"Tch..." Jason grunted
Laxus was behind Jason, engulfed in a massive aura of lightning as his eyes were glowing bright yellow. He had used his ability to turn into pure lightning in an instant to lunge at his opponents with a speed greater than he can normally achieve and strike with a devastating attack.
He turned to look at Jason who was clutching his side, "You cannot use magic when you're switching elements, even for a second." He said, "That lag would be your undoing."
In the stands, Lucy had her mouth covered, "W-What?!" She exclaimed, "J-Jason is bleeding!"
Levy was looking at this with a shocked face, "I haven't seen Jason bleed...." She said
Gray and Natsu didn't say anything, they had their mouths open in awe. Erza, who had the best seat in the house, looked at his with a surprised look on her face. Nobody in the guild had seen this coming, Jason had the reputation of being nearly invincible.
Jason turned to look at Laxus, "Ha!" He laughed as he bled from his mouth, "Now this is getting good!!!"
He lunged at Laxus and struck him in the face, sending Laxus reeling back. Laxus had noticed that his fist was covered in the black-stone plating, his power had been enhanced. He then dodged the next few attacks that Jason had launched at him.
He then prepared to counter but Jason had stomped the ground again, this time, causing the ground beneath Laxus to rise into the air rapidly. This caused Laxus to lose his balance as Jason hit him with a kick to the temple, sending him crashing to the ground.
"I suppose you can't use that speed consecutively!!" Jason said as he smirked, "Can you, Laxus!"
Jason used this opportunity to switch to Sky God Slayer magic, to use its healing to close the wound.
However, Laxus had already anticipated this. As he noticed the switch, he instantly appeared in above Jason.
"Not an attack..." He said, "But the speed itself, only for a second. More than enough time!!"
"Lightning Dragon's Fist!!!"
He struck Jason square in the jaw with a lightning-enhanced fist, sending him crashing into the ground. He then waved his arms forward, sending a massive orb of lightning at Jason with tremendous speed.
"Raging Bolt!!!!"
His orb hit Jason and exploded, causing a massive shockwave as lightning discharged everywhere. The attack was supercharged, more than normal, which had caused an explosion far more devastating than usual.
Natsu widened his eyes, "H-Holy shit!" He said, "That was crazy!"
Laxus stood there, looking at the massive cloud of dust that was crackling of electricity.
"Don't you dare underestimate me." Laxus said, "I am no weakling."
"Man, you got that right." Jason's voice was heard, "I must admit, you're a monster."
The dust cloud was dispersed and Laxus watched as Jason stood there as his clothes were tattered. He was rubbing his neck as he smirked, blood coming out of his mouth. Laxus noticed that the wound he caused was still there, blood pouring out.
"You took all of that..." Laxus said, "You're bleeding profusely and you're not showing any signs of exhaustion."
Jason gestured to his wound, "Oh this?" He said, "We can leave it open. Think of it as an even playing field."
Laxus glared at him, "Don't look down at me..." He growled, "I am overpowering, no matter how you look at it. The moment you try to switch elements, I'll strike at you. There's no way you can be at an advantage."
Jason nodded, "Yea, that's true." He said as he released an aura, "Which is why I won't switch."
Laxus widened his eyes in surprise, "W-What?"
Jason suddenly appeared in front of him, "I don't need to switch." He said with a wicked smirk
"Earth God's Infighting."
In an instant, Jason, who had his arms covered in the black-stone plating, rushed Laxus and struck him with a barrage of punches that hit him in his body and face. The punches were so strong that they caused several small shockwaves upon impact.
The attack sent Laxus reeling back, his entire body bruised as his lips were split, drawing blood. He then braced himself as he saw Jason coming again and raised his arms to block the incoming attacks.
Jason struck Laxus with a kick that buckled the dragon slayer, causing a shockwave. He then watched as Laxus jumped away and using the lightning speed, launched himself at him.
Jason, who anticipated this, launched himself into the air as Laxus struck the empty spot where he stood.
Jason reared his head back.
"Earth God's Bellow!"
He fired a massive swirling stream of black earth from his mouth at Laxus who was hit by it. The attack resulted in an explosion of black stone and dirt that was so heavy that it shattered the ground beneath Laxus.
The earth then exploded as the lighting was discharged, resulting in a massive sphere of yellow lightning around Laxus who looked up at Jason who was still in the air.
"How's another one?!" Jason said
Laxus then widened his eyes as he had noticed all too late that Jason had switched elements.
"Sky God's Bellow!!!!"
Jason fired another breath attack, this one was much faster as the massive swirling stream of black wind hit Laxus, resulting in a massive explosion of wind that caused shockwaves that hit the stands.
"Whoa!" Gray exclaimed
All of the Fairy Tail members were covering themselves as the wind from the attack was hitting them.
Jason, who was still suspended in midair, was about to switch elements when all of a sudden, Laxus had launched himself at him, striking him again in the midsection. His hand was piercing his abdomen, resulting in blood pouring out of Jason.
Laxus had used his Godspeed attack once again, his entire body engulfed in supercharged lightning.
Jason, had already anticipated this and had clutched Laxus's shoulders as he gave him a menacing smirk.
"W-What?" Laxus said as he felt the incredible grip
Jason began to laugh as blood poured out of his mouth, "Hehehe...." He said with a smirk, "Hahahahaha!!!!!"
They were both still suspended in mid-air, something that confused even Laxus. He was assuming Jason was using his wind to keep them up there, but he swore Jason had switched elements.
"Tch..." He said as he tried to pry himself free
Jason's grip was too strong and Laxus still had his hand impaled to Jason's stomach.
"Isn't this fun, Laxus Dreyar?!?!?!?!" Jason said as blood kept pouring out
Erza narrowed her eyes, "Something's wrong...." She said
Laxus had his eyes widened as Jason began to cry tears of blood and blood poured out of his nostrils. This sight was horrifying, it was something nobody was used to. Jason was bleeding profusely as he released an immense aura.
"What's wrong with him?" Levy exclaimed, "He's bleeding!!"
"My body isn't used to this kind of punishment!!!! It's odd!!!" Jason said shakily, "You're quite the monster!!!"
"What the..." Laxus said as he tried to pull his arm free but Jason's body tightened up
Jason smirked viciously, "What do you think yer doing?" He said as his eyes turned bloodshot,
"The fun's just starting!!!!"
