Joy pouted, "You mustn't tell him. His punishments can be quite severe."
Grandma Reed frowned, "Did Dean really punish you?"
"Indeed, and the punishment was quite severe. I'm still aching all over."
Worried, Grandma Reed said, "But you just did so much work. I'll call Dr. Lyn to check on you."
Joy stopped her, "No need, Grandma. It's not a big deal. I just need a couple of days of rest."
"This Dean, how could he treat you like this? I'll give him a talking to. He won't dare to punish you next time."
Joy, holding Grandma Reed's hand, laughed, "If you say so, Grandma, I'll feel at ease. Next time Dean punishes me, I'll come to you for support."
"Sure, Grandma will support you."
Joy, reassured, laughed like she had just eaten honey. The next time Dean bullied her, she would complain.
"Tell me, where did you get this original version of the old opera disc? I thought they had become extinct."
