The Right Kind Of Wrong

"Sorry, I didn't come earlier, Lora." She recognised that voice.

"It's okay, Ace. I hope I didn't inconvenience you." She said, looking down at her feet.

"No, you didn't. I was a bit tied up." Austin replied.

"Sure." She looked up at him and suppressed a laughter. "Why the mask and the hoodie?"

"Well..." He hadn't even thought of the perfect lie to tell her.

Lora blushed and lowered her head. "I guess you have your reasons. I have to hurry home. Is there something you wanted to tell me?"

"No, I just wanted to check on you. Since I couldn't come early."

"I'm fine. I need to lock up. I don't want to keep you waiting or anything." She said, shifting from foot to foot.

"No worries, I am not in a rush. I will wait for you."

Austin walked to the side of the door before she could protest and stood there. Alora kept watching him and was finally snapped out of her trance when he waved at her.

She blinked, realising that the door was farther than she thought and hurried to her work.

She finished the dishes, washed and dried the napkins and carried her bags and keys before she forgot them and locked herself out of her house and the cafe.

She quickly hung her apron and trotted out of the kitchen and to the front door where she met Ace waiting for her.

"You look nice."Austin said, trying to say little so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

"Thank you." She kept staring at him until she remembered that she had to lock the cafe. "Let's go out." She turned off the lights and locked the doors.

She inhaled the hair and turned to Austin. 'What the..." His hoodie was not on his head. 'Aren't hoodies supposed to be on people's head?' Lora questioned herself. The problem was, it showcased his flawless black hair which made her ultimately nervous.

"Can I walk you home, Lora?" Austin asked.

"Of course." She replied, keeping her gaze away from his hair. Throughout the walk, neither one of them spoke.

When she got home, her sister came running out of the house and house and hugged her. When she rose her head from her dress, Ally had a mischievous grin plastered on her face. She immediately looked innocent and said in a cute baby voice, amplifying the size of her green eyes.

"Good evening, sister."

"Evening, Allison." Alora looked flushed and she wanted to scream, 'What in heavens name are you doing here?'

"Good evening, Sir."

Allison said, bowing towards Ace. She wore a blue dress and left her brown hair flying around her, making her look so childish. Alora wanted to toss her back into the house but she couldn't do it without making Ace uncomfortable.
