Cuteness Overload

Alora was braiding her hair. She was just bored. Austin had called and told her that he had touched down not too long ago and he was on his way.

Suddenly, she heard the sound of Austin's car reeving and ran outside. She saw him jump right out of the car and hurried to hug him. She had forgotten how good-looking he was.

"I guess you missed me." He patted her head.

Her cheeks began burning. 'I can't believe I just hugged him.' "I really did."

"That's great." He released her. "I remember promising you something special so, I am going to talk to your siblings and you wait in the car."

He led her to the car, and she sat and waited patiently. Since Austin knew she couldn't see anything through the tinted glass, he took a pretty suitcase and ran in with it.

"Hey Austin."

Ally was knitting in the living room, her mother peacefully sleeping on a rocking chair. Ally smiled, her accent thickening with excitement.

"Hey, Lay-lay." Austin sat on a nat and lowered his voice. "I have a mission for you." Ally immediately dropped her pin and had her eyes of Austin.

"I am all ears."

"I want you and Zeke to pack up all the new clothes I bought for Lora in this suitcase. I want to take her to Italy for the weekend." He grinned. "I have something for you if you do."

The girl narrowed her eyes, as if weighing the possibilities, then shook his hand. "You've got yourself a deal."

Austin kissed her head. "I knew I could count on you."

He got up, then slowly advanced Lorna, and slowly kissed her hand. He rushed outside and entered the car.

"What took you so long?" Lora asked.

"I just had to say hi to your mother."

He flimsy replied as he started the engine. He drove to an animal shelter and spent an hour petting kitten and puppies.

"They are so cute, Austin." Alora laughed and Austin opened the door for her.

"Nothing makes me more happy than seeing you happy." He said and entered the car. "I have to buy something for your siblings."

He drove back to the lucky mall that they 'looted' a few days ago and returned not too long ago with a handful of bags.

"What are those for?" Alora probed.

"Nothing important." He started driving. "The one in the pink bag is yours."

She opened the bag and gasped. New phone. In a carton. Well concealed in transparent polythene. It was beautiful.

"Austin, is that..."

"A Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra." He nodded. "Yes, it is."

She couldn't speak and just put the phone in the bag. They were also other phones probably for her siblings. The way the rich spent their money was truly alarming.
