It had been a month after the trip to Italy and everyday with Austin was a whirlwind of excitement, suprise, joy and fun. There were times when he was a bit too busy to visit her but he often called.
Her parents adored Austin, her siblings adored him, even Leslie loved him. He brought gifts to her and sometimes, he would take the both of them out for shopping or on money-spending sprees. The only person who wasn't comfortable with Austin's dating her was Sean.
"What do you see in him?" Sean asked, once when he was visiting.
"He's good with kids." She replied and pretended not to notice his growing anger.
"I'm good with kids." He ripped off a sheet of paper roughly."It's either you are interested in his work or you enjoy joining him in dropping bodies." He said and walked into the kitchen. "Either that or," He looked her over with a grin. "You're just a gold digger."
She instantly dropoed her flower cutter, got up from her seat and stared at him. "Sean, if I were close to you, I would have slapped you. Don't dare talk Austin like that, at least not in front of me. You, of all people, could say something like that." Sean stared blankly at her and she continued. "I thought you loved and cared for me."
"I do love you." He confessed.
"Really?" Her eyes widened in fake surprise.
"Don't act as if you didn't know." He folded his arms.
"And instead of telling me, you decided to drop hints and play mind games like this was Grey's anatomy."
"You are overreacting, I don't like this drama wnd I said I love you." He replied.
"Even if I were with you, Austin would have have found a way for us to be together but by the looks of it, you would be merry on your way when the going got tough."
"You shouldn't feel that way and remember that I said I love you." He said deviously.
"That's what I thought." She walked to the kitchen and gave him a glance before entering. "If I didn't meet Austin, I probably won't have known what love is. But your love is toxic and controlling."
"That's not what I meant or said. You made me do it and you are being dramatic." He followed her.
"You are saying those manipulative words. You are just horrible."
Sean was shocked and left her in the kitchen. 'How could he be better than me?' Sean asked himself but he was soon going to get answers.
