Len walked into Alora's hospital room and quietly shut the door. "Hey Lora." He pulled up a chair beside her bed. "I only have ten minutes here."
She layed on the bed, as still as ever. "Well, today, I visited your favourite cafe. I got some free scones. They were great."
"I hope you wake up soon." He held her hand. "I miss talking to you and your students have been asking of you."
"Sometimes, I forget that you are asleep. You'll wake up soon and I'll be there. I promise."
Suddenly, a tear slipped out of the corner of her eyes and down her cheek. He tightened his grip on her hand. Her lips parted and a word escaped her lips.
She squeezed her eyes shut and said something again. Len leaned closer to hear what she had said.
"Au-u-us-tin, I-m-m so-r-ry." She mumbled. After a while, her face relaxed and do did Len.
"He'll be fine." He kissed her forehead. "Don't worry."
The doctor came to check on her later on. "She seems to be doing fine. I recommend you come to frequently visit because it is possible that she would soon leave her coma." The doctor suggested.
"Thank you." Len smiled and sat back on the chair.
Len wiped her cheeks and sighed. "You'll be alright. I got a call from my parents. They are doing well. Don't know why I should be telling you this but guess I have to."
"It's been about three months. If this continues, you'll miss your twenty-second birthday." He said sadly. "This is May and you have been unconscious since February. You better wake up. It's in August so, you have to make it."
"You'll make it in time for your birthday, right? You are going to celebrate it with us, right?"
He walked to the window. My time will soon be up and I will have to leave.
"Goodbye Alora. I'll come back later."
