Chapter 6: The Result of a Month's Training

After he left the store, the store manager looked at his back and said in a depressed tone,

"Such talent is just being wasted because of some useless dream."

He said that as he looked at the two potions in his hand. He held it up and said,

"Such great purity—if I wasn't so stubborn back then, would he still work for me?"

As he thought of Jayven's attitude, he shook his head.

"Nah, he's still going to chase his dream."

Then, as if he suddenly remembered something, he opened the door outside in a rush, only to find no one.

"Tch, I forgot to tell him Old Zed is looking for him. Well, I'll just tell him next time if he comes back. The old man did say that as long as it is before the month of new year, so I think I still have time."

With that, he got back to his store and took a good look at it. And said while complaining to himself.

"That Kid is right, though; this place is so secluded that there are no customers in sight."

----------------Jayven's Apartment--------------

"Now that I have the potions for this training, I need to re-adjust my training. This time I need a week to see if I can finish all of these potions, and hopefully my recovery rate will increase by leaps and bounds at that time."

With that, Jayven took another pen and paper to continue planning. He didn't know why, but it might be because he was tired or just clumsy; his books and papers all fell down like a house of cards.

"Oh shoot, let's clean this up fast." Knowing that he needs to do things fast, he was devastated by the addition of another piece of work.

After almost cleaning all of it, he saw something that he had completely forgotten.

"Oh no, I almost forgot about my summer homework."

Thinking about this, he despaired. I'm still glad he found it early on.

"Now what am I going to do? I still need to train, and I need to do homework."

He fell onto his bed, thinking of any possible ways to do all this. Until he saw something on his status panel.

"Wait, I am training physical stuff, but what about my INT? Why not lessen my brain power as I do this?"

As he thought of it, another problem came up. "Wouldn't I make more wrong answers? I can't jeopardize my scholarship."

Like he said, he has a scholarship, and although he wasn't in the top ten, he is qualified to get one since his overall grade is above 90%.

And as long as he is in the top 100 of his class with an average of 95%, his scholarship shall not be taken.

"Well, let's just gamble on it. I can make adjustments on it in the last week of the summer next month. Plus, increasing my INT early on before college is the best choice I have."

With that, he continued to follow his plan of adjusting his training to the new addition to the menu.

--------A Week Later-------------

Now that a week has passed, Jayven's status has changed a lot.

_____________

"After chugging almost hundred bottles of potion, I can now train at a fast pace in the coming weeks."

Seeing his stats, he was a bit relieved. After all, he used a hundred thousand ACC for this. Additionally, since he lowered the effects of the potions, the side effects were also lessened.

Making it possible for him to have the same effect he needed in the long run.

After all, it is okay to drink potions as much as you need. Although drinking too much fills one's stomach, this highly concentrated drink is mostly used by high-ranking hunters.

"Right now, I don't need highly concentrated potions; it's not like I can afford any. So now that I've used up the potions, getting to the next step of training will be alright."

Now that Jayven is ready, since the current traits are just like when he drank the potion all the time while it was still adjusted,

"I didn't expect this outcome, but it is a welcomed one."

Since the effect of the poton for low-grade mana potion is 1 point per second, When reduced, it was at least 2 points per minute.

While the medium-grade Stamina potion gives 10 points per second. and when reduced, it was 1 point every 10 seconds.

"It took me a whole day to make the right adjustments to breakthrough every time I used the skills, and once breakthrough wasn't feasible, I would Adjust it again. So I guess at least 20 bottles each. But it was still worth it."

And with that, he trained another week, and his attributes increased much better than before. And now there is a three-point increase in every attribute when he is training for a full week.

Looking at his hard work, he is now confident of reaching the recommended threshold in three more weeks if he increases the intensity a bit.

"But this is a problem. What could I do to increase the intensity of my training?"

He thought of this while answering his assignments.

Afterwards, his alarm rang. "Oh, right, I need to cook for dinner. He got up and prepared his food."

And upon reaching his stove, he prepared and cooked the food in a separate manner, but at the same time, he prepared his side dishes.

"Doing things at the same time while cooking was hard at first, but thanks to all the part-time jobs I did, especially when I got to listen to the chefs tips on cooking, it was a great help as well."

But he suddenly stopped, and out of nowhere, a pop sound seemingly rang in his mind. Which told him that his stats had increased again.

"Oh, it was still in effect." He was surprised at not noticing his skill suddenly breaking effect. "Still, now I know what to do."

"I was simple-minded last time and was only activating the skill one at a time. I forgot that I could use it at the same time as long as it was in different attributes and my mana was still large."

Now he has a new plan for his training. W"ell, Adjusting my plan again is a hassle, but that is the only thing I could do. Hmm? What's that smell? Oh no, My Food!"

After smelling something burning, he hurriedly moved to barely save his dinner.

~~~~~~The Next Day~~~~~~
"Let's try it." Jayven then started his new routine of workouts. He first tried doing two things at once, and it was okay.
Then, when he got used to it, he thought of doing three things at once, and not surprisingly, he failed.
He barely maintained it, only to notice that he was over the time limit of his skill, so he just stuck to two things at once.
After a day of working out, he found the right combination and the right rotation for his workout. With that, he continued to do it again the next day until a week had passed.
And now his stats have increased by. Seeing this, he worked out like a madman until he reached the day he was waiting for.
He trained and trained, hoping it would increase, even if it was just a little bit. Then, like a blink of an eye, the month of training had ended.
--------A Few Weeks Later---------
"Okay, now is the time to hunt outside." He said to himself as he looked at himself facing the mirror; there he saw himself in full gear.
This is an F- Rank Clothes, negative because it is the lowest grade there is and it was given to them for free during their coming-of-age ceremony.
"And with it were dismantling knives that are also F-rank; this could also double down as a weapon, they said."
"What a load of bullshit this is? This is a weapon? Nonesense." He scoffs as he looks at the brittleness of the knife's teeth. "I need to get a new one. Since I was a newbie back then, of course it would come down to this."
"The gear is okay since it is like an inner armor, but I need to buy a light-weight outer armor and a knife."
