Engagement Ceremony (3)

Once everything had settled down once more, servants began serving food for the event. Maria had planned a five course meal followed by some mingling for business reasons.

"You don't believe her words, do you?" Alexander whispered into her ear as he leaned closer to Auralia.

Around them a servant was placing the first course on the table. Auralia wasn't sure what it was exactly. It looked like some kind of pastry with vegetables. A work of art on a plate honestly.

"Hmm?" Auralia glanced at him in confusion before suddenly understanding what he meant. It made her smirk. "I don't care about your past. If you say you didn't do that, then you didn't. Who am I to judge you?"

She knew despite the public image created by his agency, Alexander was not perfect. He'd been in previous relationships just like she had. Like any normal human being.
