Unlucky Day

Kevin is furious. He truly loved Jenny and always supported her. And she saw him as nothing more than a pathetic loser.

Kevin had a tough life as he grew up in an orphanage. He did not know anything about his family. For him, Jenny was his only family, and he tried his best to make her happy. In the end, she betrayed him.

He knows that she won't return the money. But there was something he couldn't quite figure out.

"Jenny and Sophia are trying to keep me from meeting her new boyfriend," Kevin thought. "They're hiding something, and I need to find out what it is."

He gazed out the bus window; Kevin suddenly realized he had missed his stop. Annoyed, he quickly got off the bus.

"Why does everything seem to be going wrong today? Now I have to take another bus," Kevin muttered to himself.

Luck was not on his side today. Everything was going against him, and he sat there, waiting for the next bus, feeling frustrated.

After a little while, he heard a loud scream. He was surprised and looked around to find where the cry came from. He followed the sound and ended up in a dark alley.

He couldn't believe what he saw and tried hard not to scream. Two people were holding knives, and a person covered in blood was lying before them.

"We've done our job," one figure said.

"Yeah, let's disappear before anyone shows up," the other replied. Both criminals disappeared into the darkness.

Today was undoubtedly the worst day of Kevin's life. If those two criminals discover that he saw them, his life could be in danger. He cautiously approached the wounded person and checked on him.

"He's still alive," Kevin said with shock.

He carefully picked up the injured person. At that moment, a phone slipped from his pocket. So Kevin picked it up and quietly walked out of the alley, ensuring nobody noticed him.

Kevin took the injured person to the nearby hospital. He wanted to reach out to the victim's family. Kevin checked the call history and dialed the last number on the list.

"Hello," a voice responded from the other end.

Kevin hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to begin. "Hello," he finally managed to say.

"Who are you? And how did you get this number?" the man inquired.

"Sir, I found this phone's owner lying unconscious in an alleyway. He's been stabbed multiple times with a knife. I couldn't leave him there, so I rushed him to the nearby hospital."Kevin explained.

"Please, give me the address. I'll be there as soon as possible." the man on the other side sounded worried.

Kevin shared the address and ended the call.

-After waiting twenty minutes-

Kevin? Are you the one who called me?" a voice called him.

Kevin looked up and was shocked to see who it was.

"Mr. Harry?" Kevin is a bit shocked, finding it hard to believe that the person before him was Mr. Harry.

Upon seeing the mobile in Kevin's hand, Mr. Harry recognized that Kevin was the one who called him.

"How is Mr. Flynn doing?" Mr. Harry asked.

"I don't know. The doctor is still attending to him," Kevin replied.

"Alright, let me take care of this. Please wait here," Mr. Harry said before walking away.

Kevin is very grateful to Mr. Harry. He had crossed paths with Mr. Harry back in the orphanage, and it was all thanks to him that Kevin completed his studies. Mr. Harry even offered him a job, but Kevin declined, wanting to secure a job based on his abilities.

Kevin never imagined he would meet Mr. Harry again like this.
