Inheritance

"Excuse me sir, this is Kevin. He's the one who brought you to the hospital," Mr. Harry introduced Kevin to the stranger.

"Thank you, Kevin. I wished to meet you someday, but fate brought us together like this," the stranger said.

"Kevin, this is Mr. Flynn. He's the one who provided you with the money for your education," Mr. Harry explained.

These words came as a surprise to Kevin, who had always believed it was Mr. Harry who supported his education. Hearing this, Kevin felt grateful to Mr. Flynn, but that didn't diminish his respect and appreciation for Mr. Harry. Mr. Harry's words had always encouraged him to strive for a better future.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Flynn. Your support means a lot to me," Kevin expressed.

"Kevin, I have a favor to ask of you," Mr Flynn said.

Mr. Flynn had done a lot for Kevin in the past, and now Kevin wanted to repay the kindness.

"I'll definitely try my best to help you, Mr. Flynn," Kevin promised, tears welling up in his eyes. Mr. Flynn was the reason he had a well-paying job today, even though he had to overwork, and the company delayed his payments. But he was grateful for the excellent amount of pay he received.

Kevin remembered how even having a single meal was a luxury in the past. To Kevin, Mr Flynn was a saviour. But now, he was nearing the end of his life.

"Kevin, with my wounds, I won't live much longer. I am going to die. I want you to inherit my business," Mr. Flynn said weakly.

Kevin was shocked to hear these words. Is he inheriting Mr. Flynn's business? He didn't know anything about running a business.

"Sir, I don't know anything about business, and I'm not worthy of inheriting your business," Kevin said.

"Kevin, you are a hard worker, and I know you can improve in the future. Mr. Harry will help you handle things. This is my last wish; please fulfill it," Mr Flynn pleaded weakly.

Kevin felt the pressure, knowing Mr. Flynn had high expectations of him. He weakly nodded at Mr. Flynn. "I will."

Mr.Flynn smiled at his answer and muttered, "Thank you."

More tears came out of Kevin's eyes.

"Sir, Can I use Flynn as my last name?" Kevin asked.

"You can," Mr.Flynn replied.

Mr.Flynn smiled one last time before taking his last breath.

-A day later-

After Mr. Flynn's funeral, Mr. Harry took Kevin to his house.

"Mr. Harry, do you have any idea who wanted to kill Mr.Flynn?" Kevin asked.

"Kevin, I'm afraid I cannot reveal anything just yet. I'll tell you when the time is right," Mr. Harry replied.

Knowing that Mr. Harry wouldn't reveal anything even if he begged, Kevin decided to let it go. They silently ate dinner together.

"Good morning, Mr. Harry," Kevin greeted Mr. Harry, who was drinking his coffee.

"Good morning, Kevin. Mr. Flynn bought a new house before his death, and now you can stay there. So pack your things and then we will go to Springfield," Mr. Harry said.

"Springfield?" Kevin exclaimed. It was also known as the "rich people area" among commoners.

"Yes, Springfield. After you settle down in the new house, we can talk about business matters," Mr. Harry said.

Kevin just nodded.

"And take this card with you, but use it wisely," he warned, giving Kevin a credit card from Citadel Bank.

Kevin was shocked to see that it was a black card, especially one from Citadel Bank. He grabbed the card from Mr. Harry's hand.

"When you're done packing, give me a call. I'll come to pick you up," Mr. Harry said.
