"Keep Out." Loud voice was heard. "Who are you guys and why have you come here."

Alex and Ran Yunxia faced the guards at the sect entrance, their hands gripping spears tightly.

"WE ARE GOI---" Ran Yunxia was about to say something but Alex stopping Ran Yunxia before she could say more.

Alex replied, "We're from a little village out here. We're interested in joining the sect. Could you please tell us how we can do that?"

The guards exchanged glances, then instructed, "Wait here." One of them left to inform the sect.

--

Ten minutes later, the guard returned and informed them, "The sect examination is scheduled to start in 8 days. You can wait for that."

Alex frowned, realizing he didn't have that much time. "I understand. Thank you. Can you tell us the location of the nearest small city? We need a place to stay."

"Go north from here, then turn around A Dragon Claw Mountain. After that, head south to reach Lingtian city," the guard provided directions.

"Thank you very much, Seniors," Alex expressed gratitude before he and Ran Yunxia left.

As they walked down the mountain, Ran Yunxia inquired, "Are we really going to wait for the sect examination?"

"Of course not, just wait here," Alex responded, guiding her into the nearby forest.

Confused, Ran Yunxia questioned, "What are you—"

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw Alex vanish. But his voice reached her ears, saying, "Wait here and don't move."

--

"(Looks like this ability is very much useful in the infiltration missions, but i guerentee i will be noticed by someone much stronger than me.)" Alex thought and wanted to get in the sect but he managed to see something and...

Alex returned to the guards and engaged in eavesdropping on their conversation. He heard them discussing the ongoing war.

"I don't know, Brother Gao Shou. We don't even know how the war started or why those Demonic bastards decided to break the longstanding pact. I can't fathom what they were thinking," one of the guards, Ling Feng, remarked.

Gao Shou responded, "Yeah, it's really weird."

Listening intently, Alex was left with numerous questions. "(War? Is this Central Continent? And if there's a war, it could explain why the sect initiated the examination. But why wage war just for Inner disciples? Well, I should focus on the information I can gather here.)" he thought to himself, deciding to prioritize the information he could obtain. information was the most important asset he could have now, and he wanted information to give him some idea how to get out of this place, Western Continent or Central Continent.

With renewed determination, Alex went further up into the sect. He glanced around at the familiar layout. "(It's the same as every sect—circular with buildings.)" He moved towards the largest building and explored each one before finding the library.

Inside the library, among numerous disciples, he examined a map. It revealed that they were in the Western Continent's outer safe zone. "(No wonder we've encountered fewer dangers here; the most potent monsters seem to be concentrated in the inner areas of the continent. looks like we are really lucky this is the place we have appeared in, i can read here that most terrifying monsters in the Continent are at the Central Side of the Western Continent, it says that there was even Overlord Beast moving in this place.)" he realized this.

As he studied the map, he noted that the Western and Eastern continents were blocked by the Central Continent, effectively separating them. The Demonic Sects had declared war on the Western Continent, forcing other sects to respond and defend their homes. Alex mused, "(A clever strategy—force your enemies to defend their territory. This diversion must have been orchestrated by a shrewd mind.)"

"(Declarin war on the beasts that don't think for themselves .and pressuring your foes to emerge and defend themselves and the entire continent if the don't want Eastern Continent to dominate Western Continent—quite a strategic move. I'd love to meet the one who devised this plan.)" he pondered, his intrigue piqued by the strategic brilliance.

Alex left the library, taking care to go unnoticed. Once outside the sect, he rendezvoused with Ran Yunxia.

"Hey," he appeared beside her, startling her.

"Oh my god! You scared me. Did you find out where we are?" Ran Yunxia asked, shocked by his sudden appearance.

"Yes, we're in the Western Continent," Alex confirmed with a smile.

"WHAT? Did you say the Western Continent?" Ran Yunxia trembled in fear.

"Stay calm," Alex reassured her and proceeded to explain the information he had gathered about their location and the war.

"I see. So, we have a chance to leave this place. We just need to wait for our sect," Ran Yunxia sighed with relief.

Alex looked at her and handed her some food from his storage pouch. "Take this and either wait here or do whatever you like."

Concerned for him, Ran Yunxia inquired, "And you?"

"I have a friend to save. Don't worry. Once the war begins, we'll board the area where our sect will be and leave this place," Alex assured her.

But before he could take off, Ran Yunxia halted him. "WAIT!"

Alex turned to her. "Yes?"

With a hint of embarrassment, Ran Yunxia asked, "W-what's your name?"

"My name is Zhi Li. We'll meet again," Alex said before taking off into the sky.

Ran Yunxia clenched her sword and smiled mischievously. "Zhi Li, huh?" She decided to rest in the forest before finding a city.

--

"Where are you, Chang Li?" Alex searched the sky, using his newfound abilities to their fullest extent. With his advanced perception, he could cover a radius of 8000 miles, but the forest was vast, requiring time to thoroughly explore.

However, his perseverance paid off as he suddenly felt a presence that he recognized. "I can feel it. Chang Li is somewhere nearby!" he exclaimed, filled with joy. But as he drew closer, his expression turned serious.

He stopped abruptly and faced an unexpected situation.
