Alex frowned as he stared at the big cave ahead of him, from which a red light emanated.
"Is this some kind of cave?" Alex approached cautiously, feeling that something was off about it. He couldn't sense any energy emitting from within the cave.
"Damn it, why is he here?" Alex's lips twitched with annoyance. He could distinctly sense Chang Li's energy signature coming from the cave.
His frustration grew as he thought about how much trouble Chang Li had caused him. "Ah, forget it," he muttered. He attempted to enter the cave, only to pull his hand back immediately with a pained cry—his hand was burned.
"Wait, my body can't withstand the heat? Is he in hell or something?" Alex's frustration escalated, and he was determined to find Chang Li no matter what.
"Who cares?" With a coat of energy protecting him, Alex stepped into the cave.
--
Inside the red-lit cave, Alex found himself in a corridor that extended significantly. But what intrigued him were the walls adorned with crude drawings. They reminded him of caveman drawings from his past life.
"These drawings seem to depict hunting, worship, and even blacksmithing," Alex tried to decipher the meaning behind the drawings.
"I'll come back here later," he decided, his curiosity piqued. He continued moving towards the source of the red light.
--
Chang Li was standing behind a boulder, panting heavily. He peeked around the boulder to observe something that had left him exhausted. "I am done." He looked behind the boulder and muttered while being scared.
--
Meanwhile, Alex was flying above a scene that left him bewildered. The entire floor was composed of magma blocks, resembling a molten river. The heat was overwhelming, and magma flowed like rivers.
"Why is this place so strange? Are we inside a volcano?" Alex surveyed the surroundings but couldn't see the sky. The red light illuminated everything, and he was unable to discern the top.
As he searched for Chang Li's energy, he found himself surrounded by mountains, or were they volcanoes? The mystery deepened as he realized he was unable to detect the walls that would indicate he was in a cave.
Determined to find Chang Li, Alex continued to search the area where he sensed his friend's energy.
--
After about 25 minutes of flying, he discovered an enormous mountain. Or was it a boulder? Alex landed on it.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
An explosive sound filled the air, accompanied by the roars of monsters. Alex's senses told him that the source of Chang Li's energy was nearby.
"Found you," he muttered, relieved to have finally located Chang Li.
But then, something unexpected happened.
--
Chang Li was surrounded by numerous monsters, and he was panting heavily as he eyed the creatures warily. He assessed his dire situation—30 monsters, many resembling lava-like creatures of various animal shapes and sizes, had cornered him.
"How am I going to deal with all of them?" Chang Li muttered, his desperation apparent.
But then, something intervened.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
All the monsters around him were obliterated in a powerful explosion. A voice reached his ears.
"Are you okay?"
Chang Li's eyes widened in recognition. "Big Brother Li!" he exclaimed with a smile, relieved to see Alex.
Alex approached Chang Li, Chang Li hugged him as well. The two friends embraced. "What are you doing here?" Alex inquired, his tone mixed with concern and curiosity.
Chang Li looked around, his expression a mixture of confusion and fear. "I...don't know. I fell here while trying to escape. I wanted to hide from the people chasing us... It was so scary, they were extremely powerful, and even my strongest attack bearly managed to kill one of them"
Alex returned the smile, hugging his friend. "I See... that is good that you are here...
"Yes." Chang Li sighed out of relief and stopped hugging Alex.
"Alright, let's go," Alex decided, determined to get them out of the strange place. there weret weird...
"But I found a building nearby that seems to have treasures. It's quite ornate," Chang Li shared his discovery.
"No, we're leaving now," Alex insisted, a sense of foreboding filling him. He felt an eerie presence that made him uneasy. like something was monitoring him every single second like something was around to spy on him... he never felt something like this in the past.
"Alright, let's go," Chang Li agreed, understanding the urgency in Alex's tone. He didn't feel anything, He also wanted to get out of this place feeling something or not... he wanted to leave immediately, this place was really scary to him. especially the magma around here.
The two friends took off, soaring through the sky to escape the unsettling area.
--
In the depths of the mountain, a figure sat on a throne, its body composed of magma. The figure's eyes were closed as it sat in the dark, listening to the reports.
"My lord," a voice echoed.
The magma figure responded, "Yes?"
"We've detected an intruder from the outside world," the voice reported.
"Hmm? Deal with them," the magma figure instructed without opening its eyes.
"Also, one of them possesses a powerful bloodline," the voice added.
The magma figure's eyes snapped open with interest. "Very well. I'll handle this myself."
As the figure stood up and walked away, the voice remained in the darkness, its loyalty apparent.
--
Back at the entrance, Alex and Chang Li were about to leave the area. But before they could, an enormous punch was aimed at Alex. He swiftly dodged it, narrowly avoiding the attack.
"Who are you?" Alex demanded, his expression hardening as he faced the source of the attack.
The dust settled, revealing a red-clothed figure with a sinister smile. "Wow, you dodged that? Interesting."
A surge of anger coursed through Alex. He felt an overwhelming urge to eliminate the source of his irritation. Activating his hard-earned mental fortitude, he managed to control his emotions, though the cold smile on his face indicated the intensity of his emotions.
Chang Li was set down, and Alex prepared for whatever challenges lay ahead. he cracked knuckles...
