Souls.

1 Week Later.

Alex lay on his cushion, enjoying his love for sleeping. Meanwhile, Fengying returned home after a rigorous training session, her efforts to learn a technique proving unsuccessful.

"I wonder how Alex became so strong. I've never seen him cultivate," Fengying pondered, her curiosity piqued.

Suddenly, a painful sensation struck her like a mental blow. She fell to the ground in agony, struggling to comprehend the sensation that seemed to impact her very soul. After a moment, the discomfort subsided, leaving her bewildered.

Another jolt of pain hit her, causing her to fall once more, this time knocking things over. In an instant, she felt relief as the pain receded, leaving her feeling drained.

Yet another bout of pain ensued, more intense than before. This time, she couldn't bear it and collapsed, overwhelmed by the agony.

Just as she hit the ground, a booming sound echoed, and everything went dark.

Alex rushed in and found Fengying in pain. In order to prevent any further harm, he swiftly knocked her unconscious and carried her away.

Observing her erratic behavior and sensing that something was wrong with her soul, Alex deduced that she needed help. He broke through the sky, carrying her to the temple on the Sect Master Mountains where Sect Master Lin resided.

--

Inside the temple, Sect Master Lin stood before a statue, lost in his thoughts. "Just where are you Anc---" He got interrupted.

His musings were interrupted as Alex burst in with Fengying in tow.

"Sect Master Lin!" Alex called out urgently.

Sect Master Lin turned his attention to Alex. "Zhi Li, what's the matter?"

"My servant Fengying is acting strangely. There's something off about her soul. I don't understand what's happening, and I'm not knowledgeable about souls. Can you help her?" Alex explained, concerned.

Sect Master Lin's reaction was immediate. He placed his hands on Fengying, channeling energy into her. His serious expression confirmed that there was indeed something unusual about her soul.

"This is true... follow me," Sect Master Lin said, leading Alex to take action.

They left in a hurry, breaking through the skies once more.

--

--

"Wait a moment. Zhi Li won't be able to keep up with my top speed," Sect Master Lin paused, realizing that Alex might struggle to match his pace.

However, when he glanced back, he was taken aback to see Alex right behind him without any signs of struggle.

"You've broken through again?" Sect Master Lin couldn't hide his amazement. he checked Alex not too lomg ago and Alex seemed to break through quite soon, his foundations were quite shaky at best so Sect Master Lin didn't give him a resourses to break through again but without even his help Alex did ot once Again, Sect Master Lin was quite shocked at this, he could not understand how could someone break through this fast in the higher realms like soul Ascension Realm (3 Ascension) Level, after they broke through not too long ago, One had to know that when you broke through higher realms just Cultivation would not be enough to break through even more, you had to decipher secrets of the world by looking at the Things around you, this didn't happen happened many times in your Cultivation journey, and most amazing thing is that when you broke through the peak levels like overlord you would get ability to decipher even more, one thing downside to this was you bearly or never got the enlightenent after you broke through this higher realms, but when you did you would gain immense powers just by doing that once. Sect Master Lin bearly got Enlightement Himself, and when he did he was really proud of that, but now when Alex broke through without Enlightement, it was a big crack to his pride so he asked Alex this. but he held back as he saw Alex how he was quite worried about his servant of his. he didn't want to ask that right now, but he would do in the definete future.

"Yes, but this isn't the time to discuss that," Alex replied impatiently, his mind solely focused on helping Fengying.

"Of course. Let's proceed," Sect Master Lin agreed, accelerating even further.

--

After a few minutes of rapid flight, they arrived at a secluded mountain with a temple. Sect Master Lin activated a talisman to gain entry, and they descended to the temple's interior.

Inside, they found a circular area with colorful tiles. In the center, a well stood surrounded by a spacious area.

"Follow me and keep quiet," Sect Master Lin instructed Alex before leading him through a door.

--

In the room they entered, Sect Master Lin assessed the situation. The room was spacious but in disrepair. A rock occupied the center, with light streaming in through a window above it.

"Put Fengying on the rock," Sect Master Lin directed Alex.

Alex followed his instructions and placed Fengying on the rock. He stepped back, allowing Sect Master Lin to approach.

Sect Master Lin's hands formed intricate patterns as he chanted indecipherable words. His actions caused a red energy to envelop his hands. This energy flowed toward the rock and engulfed it.

Sect Master Lin's expression showed seriousness and concentration as he worked. Alex watched the process, his concern for Fengying growing.

"This will take some time. Let's sit and wait," Sect Master Lin said, the weight of the situation evident in his tone.

"Can you explain what's happening, Master?" Alex asked, seeking clarification.

Sect Master Lin sighed before responding, "This is a story passed down through the generations of Sect Masters. A story about..."

He paused, leaving his sentence unfinished. Alex pressed him further, seeking to understand the enigmatic situation.

"What do you mean, Master?" Alex inquired.

Sect Master Lin gazed up at the sky, his expression a mixture of emotions. He finally sighed and continued, "A story about shame."

As the cryptic words hung in the air, Alex was left puzzled and eager to uncover the truth behind this mysterious tale.
