Junior Brother Zhang.

"That was awesome, Zhi Li," Chang Li immediately exclaimed when Alex returned from the fight.

"Yes, thank you. Take this and use your energy when I'm about to fight again," Alex handed him a special item.

"What about you?" Chang Li asked, confused.

"I need to look for a few things," Alex replied and disappeared.

Chang Li scratched his head and shrugged.

Alex was flying through the sect, trying to detect Yue Qi. He wanted to meet this guy because he speculated that Yue Qi had the Space Element. Before this, he couldn't move freely, as it would expose his strength in front of the Elders, but now, he needed to find Yue Qi fast.

"Man, I'll search for him later," Alex decided and headed toward the building where Sect Master Lin lived. He wanted to visit the library where he had learned various techniques.

"I hope there's something connected to that," Alex mused.

In the library room, Alex found information about the Divine Light Body. He was excited to discover that it was indeed connected to the Space Element. According to the book, there was a figure named Divine Light Fly from about 2500 years ago. This individual had rivaled even the strongest Overlord beings due to their ability to transform into light. However, Divine Light Fly had disappeared without a trace.

"Light speed? Wow, that's cool," Alex thought as he read. Over time, he had become less easily shocked by the incredible abilities in this world. He understood that anything was possible here.

"Now, I only need one more ingredient," Alex realized, smiling. He glanced at the personal book he had created to help him find a way out of this world. "That one sect where the planetarium was... I think they might be able to help me."

Alex was about to leave when he heard a sound coming from the temple. He decided to investigate.

Inside, he found Hong Xuanli sitting there, looking despondent.

"Hey," Alex called out.

"Aghhh!!!" Hong Xuanli jumped in surprise and then sighed in relief upon seeing Alex. He addressed Alex as "Big Brother" due to their friendship, despite never having defeated Alex in battle.

"You scared me, Big Brother," Hong Xuanli admitted, forcing a smile.

"What's wrong, big guy? You look down," Alex said, sitting down beside him.

Hong Xuanli glanced at the arena and asked, "Hey, Big Brother, do you think Father hates me?" He appeared troubled.

Alex was taken aback. "Why do you say that?" he inquired.

"It's... I told him I wanted to participate in the tournament so much, but..." Hong Xuanli's eyes welled up.

"He said no... why... Why... Why... Is it because I'm dumb? Is he disappointed in me because of that?" Hong Xuanli broke down, tears flowing.

"Nah, I don't think he hates you. Master is a cold-hearted man, but he never struck me as evil. He may be cold, but I never saw any cruelty in him," Alex replied, speaking based on his instincts as a soldier. He didn't know Sect Master Lin's full history but didn't perceive him as evil.

"But... HE LET JUNIOR BROTHER ZHANG DIE!!!" Hong Xuanli's anger flared.

"Junior Sister Zhang?" Alex inquired.

"He... HE DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING... AFTER THE BATTLE, HE JUST CAME DOWN LIKE HE DIDN'T CARE AND STARTED DOING SECT MASTER STUFF. SCREW THIS HE DIDN'T SAVE HIM... I... I..." Hong Xuanli was choked with emotion.

"Wait, you had another brother?" Alex was surprised. He had learned that Ran Yunxia was his sister, but another brother? He hadn't known about this.

"Yes, his name was Zhang Sanfeng. A long time ago, we were best friends. We spent every day together. He was like a big brother to the two of us, protecting us from all the danger we faced from others. But..." Hong Xuanli began to recount the tale.

Alex listened intently. Zhang Sanfeng was an extremely talented young man who was destined to inherit the Sect's leadership in the future. Sect Master Lin had shown great interest in his talents, providing him with abundant resources for cultivation. However, Zhang Sanfeng had never accepted any of these resources, believing that Sect Master Lin's actions were out of pity rather than genuine care.

One day, Zhang Sanfeng left on a mission that was supposed to eradicate the Spy Association organizations in the Eastern Continent. He was sent to the Central Continent to act as a spy, but something had gone wrong.

"He called out... He told us he needed help... more and more times, but... BUT... THIS BASTARD SENT REINFORCEMENTS ONLY AFTER THE 5TH NOTICE!!!" Hong Xuanli gritted his teeth in anger.

In the Sect, there was a rule that required providing proof of the need for reinforcements. Zhang Sanfeng didn't have that proof, so reinforcements were sent only after multiple requests, but by then, Zhang Sanfeng had disappeared without a trace.

"After that few years later he returned, he returned and slapped a badge of the sect to the Father... He said he was leaving the sect... Father didn't even try to stop him... He was different he wasn't the loving Older Brother Zhang we knew, he didn't even say goodbye to anyone and flew off..." Hong Xuanli stopped and continued.

Zhang Sanfeng left the sect shaking the very core of it... he was guaranteed to have the rings in the future but for some reason, he left the sect without saying anything, this gave hope to the Core Disciples And made them work hard When asked why didn't he stop Zhang Sanfeng, Sect Master Lin only said one's sacrifice made the Sect Even Stronger.

"But time went on... and one day Grand Elder Chang Returned with him... Senior Brother Zhang died... and nobody knew how... there was no injury poison marks on him... he just perished..." Hong Xuanli said this.

"Father came to his ceremony in the Sect Master's robes and didn't even shed one tear..." Hong Xuanli clenched his fists so tightly that blood began to flow. He was furious, and this was the first time Alex had seen him so angry. Hong Xuanli had never liked his father.

"So, this is who Sect Master Lin is... the man who chose to be the Sect Master and made our lives harder than we ever wished they'd be," Hong Xuanli said bitterly.

Alex listened to the story in disbelief. He had never imagined that Sect Master Lin could be such an uncaring father. This was not just neglect but complete indifference to his sons' lives.

"Is this what you think of me?" a voice suddenly spoke, and Alex turned to see Sect Master Lin standing there.
