"Master?" Alex turned to see Sect Master Lin standing there quietly, having overheard their conversation.
"Fat--- Sect Master," Hong Xuanli didn't even look back as he spoke, his words carrying a hint of anger and resentment.

In the Contribution Hall, Alex sneaked around the archives. He didn't have time to obtain the proper permission to access these records, so he decided to do it discreetly.

"FUCK!!! HE WAS A SPY!!!" Alex couldn't contain his anger and frustration.

Alex looked over to see the criminal records, these were the records where you could see the names of the prisoners, it was created by the array and everyone that was arrested was automatically put in there, Alex didn't feel like they would be able to catch the spies already, it was nearly 3 hours before they met but since he had no lead he decided to check it out.
"Hm? Why are these names glitchy" Alex looked at the holographic screen and scrolled down, this screen had names and times on when they were arrested, names of criminals.
"It's better to check it out," Alex decided.

Alex went to the mountain where prisoners were kept, a prison built within a volcano-like mountain.
"Yooo..." Alex greeted the guards, attempting to enter the prison-like any other visitor.
He said hello to the guards, this place was protected by some kind of formations, and he couldn't go there without disturbing the formations so he wanted to go there like other people.
"Young Master Li, what are you doing here?" one of the guards asked.
Alex crafted a story, claiming that he needed to visit the prisoners as part of a special technique he was practicing to absorb evil energy from people's souls. He mentioned that he had obtained permission to enter the prison.
"But show us---" Before the guard told him anything he felt some kind of wind.
"Thanks." Alex was already inside.
"Wait---" He wanted to stop him but his friend stopped him. Permission was necessary to enter as nobody knew if spied would try to release their friends, this permission had to be gotten from the Elders.
"Calm down, let him in, he is Sect Master's Disciple, he probably does have permission to enter." Another Old Guard said this to him while looking like he had seen the world already.

"Okay. let's see." Alex looked around to see a dark mossy gushy environment, there were cells everywhere and people were in those cells, this was the first floor.
Inside the prison, Alex started his descent, passing through multiple floors with cells containing prisoners. He reached the fifth floor.
"Hm?" He felt a unique presence coming from one of the cells and approached it.
Inside the cell was a young man with black hair.
"You..." Alex greeted him, intrigued by the unusual aura surrounding the individual.
"AGH!!!" The young man suddenly looked up, his eyes bloodshot, and he appeared to be agitated.
"ROAAARRR!!!" He let out a ferocious roar.
"What the hell is this, some kind of hybrid?" Alex observed the red aura around the young man, which had a chaotic quality to it.
"Wait... This is the Energy Corruption. I remember reading about this somewhere. When you use techniques far beyond your level, you can risk breaking your mind and going rogue..." Alex looked at this and understood, this was one of the people who went mad with Energy Absorption Rogue, He was interested in this, but he didn't have time to research.
"Let's go even deeper," Alex decided to explore further.
He descended through 30 floors, reaching a level of darkness and despair that seemed to pervade every aspect of the prison.

"This place... it's so dark," Alex muttered as he looked around. The cells appeared even more ominous as if they were swallowed by a black hole.
"Now, where is the Spa—" Alex was about to speak, but before he could finish his sentence, he felt a sudden attack on his mind.
"AGH!!!" He instinctively protected his mind, but to his surprise, his counterattack had no effect. It was as if his energy was repelled, bouncing off an unseen barrier. he felt like it was some kind of rubber energy it bounced off, Alex was shocked at this, he had never seen something like this happen in his life, It was like he hit something that he could not pierce no matter what, and instantly he wanted to activate every one of his defenses but then he.
