After Kimberly's phone conversation with Caroline, the day dragged on, each minute feeling like an eternity.

Kimberly tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept drifting to the impending meeting with her mother and Nicholas. By the time the end of the workday rolled around, she was a bundle of nerves.

Nicholas arrived at Kimberly's office just as the workday was ending. The sight of him caused a buzz among the employees, who exchanged curious glances and hushed whispers.

To the employees, this seemed like some sort of declaration of their relationship, given the recent rumors swirling around them.

It was a known fact that Kimberly had visited his office earlier that morning, and now he was stopping by her office at the close of work. That definitely looked like they were having an office romance and couldn't stay away from each other anymore now that it was no longer a secret.
